Dude, you need to check out Codefendents. It's Ceschi Ramos, Sam King (of Get Dead), and Fat Mike (of NOFX). Not only does it have the extremely talented rappers/singers Cheschi and Sam King, and not only did they get Onry Ozborn of Grayskul to guest on a song, but The DOC (yes THAT DOC - legendary rapper and writer for NWA and Dr Dre, amongst others) put down his first actual full verse in 20 years for them. Not to mention performing on stage for the fist time in 30 years with them. I'd recommend starting with their short movie "This is Crimewave," since it shows a good cross section of their music. If you don't want to make the 16 minute time commitment for a first listen, check out the video for "Suckers" (he doesn't preform on this track, but you can see The DOC jamming out in the video).
Dave has a hook in maybe 1 in 10 songs. UK rap is typically light on hooks. Also, FFS, more Dave. For your sake more than ours. Also, also, did he just do all that for a photo of his family together? If it is, and you know his story, that hits heavy.
