Should try storm chasing! Much fun
Usually with a derecho the trees are not quite so motionless. Interesting cloud formation, and no denying the pea-size hail, but the gust wave that defines a derecho is missing.
I like this guy because he lives close to me and I remember all of these storms
I AM YOUR 100th LIKE?! We had a derecho about 2 years ago which reported estimated winds of about +75 mph!!!! It was very ridiculous!!!
Awesome storm and amazing shelf cloud and amazing lightning man.
I share your excitement all the time with weather chasing
i love storms
Brayden sollie i like storms in a way but i am also scared when their severe or if there is a tornado
Awesome video and great footage of this storm coming in 👍 I subscribed to your channel in June 2012 a damaging derecho came in and did considerable damage to the city of Newark Ohio luckily my house escaped any damage but we lost power and didn't get it back for at least two weeks and it was so dang hot out
best reaction ever! Love it
i like your reactions dude i just like seeing people's reaction i love your videos of tornado storms
Great video Josh! I bet when this storm occurred you were beyond happy about it! There is another chance for severe storms on Saturday.
Man why do you always get the best weather
Erin Perry we don’t Stlouis is quite bipolar coldest winters and hottest summers
It's the Midwest for ya
What up bro I love your awesome shots of the severe weather you get.i love that you get so excited for severe weather and so do I.i want to be a storm chaser when I grow up and my favorite video of yours is the St. Louis tornado video it’s awesome I have a few videos myself if you would like to check them out your welcome to but I am a huge severe weather fan like you good luck and keep making those severe weather my man.
Awesome storm. Thanks for sharing.
At 4:36 Wow!!!
amazing
Keep coming back here just to see the perfect storm before i go to bed
Very good storm video! Thanks for posting!
I'm adjacent to your east in IL and I remember this storm. I was tryin to roll up my car windows and I almost got blinded by dust. Good video.
Beautiful Video !!! I have a question: Why are there no houses built of bricks when You live in a area with so many heavy storms, and why are the power lines not in the ground like in Holland ? You don't have earthquakes overthere do you, so that would save a lot of problems after a storm when there is still electricity
I like your video ...makes me feel young again like if i was there ..Thanks👍
FYI...that wasn't a derecho. Just your typical, garden variety midwest thunderstorm on a Spring afternoon.
Very awesome! thanks for sharing!
I also had Severe T'Storm Warning it was capable producing 60 MPH winds and Quarter Sized Hail and I checked outside and I don't see any Quarter Sized Hail which nothing happen.
Even though I was enjoying watching freenewsau Severe Weather Events and although they didn't get the footage of Tornadoes today and I did heard on his Weather Radio said that there's a Tornado Warning previously and after that, I also listening to KTOK on iHeart Radio and they mentioned about the Tornado, etc and after the warning is over, they returned back to regular program and finally discontinuing listening to KTOK.
Nice Capturing the sound of Thunder. =) 9:57
The tornado was rated an EF0 on the Enhanced Fujita scale.
EF0 and EF1 tornadoes are the weakest, EF2 and EF3 tornadoes are the strongest, and EF4 and EF5 tornadoes are the super strongest.
I Believe that would be weak, strong and violent.
+j luke Hypernova You are correct with those categories.
This is my favorite video of the storm you caught👍
Like daytime storms keep up the good work!
Dude, you should go out to be a professional storm chaser. You're very good at these videos.
now youtube resolution is so clear its frightening, I want potato cameras back.
That Was Awesome
That storm you experienced way back in 2013 was way worse
Now that is a monster of a storm
that was amazing bro !!!!
Great video. I drive the Mrs. nuts when a good storm's on the way in...
That greenish area contains large hail, frequent lightning and thunder, very high winds and torrential rain along with possible tornadoes.
The Birdies love the rain. They will take to their own shelter when the weather gets too bad....
I love the way you react bro🇵🇭💕
me: **listening to the calm rain**
filmer: OH THERES LARGER HAIL, ABOUT QUARTER SIZED!
me: jesus christ...
nice view i love it
I'm so sorry but I'm going to embarrass you LOL! You have been one of our favorite storm video person for a long time and now I'm stunned! Ready? Can't believe how much your voice has changed! Our fav storm "kid" grew up! LOL! Had to tease you a little or my sister would disown me... No offense meant! =D
wow looks crazy, and I see you still making videos, haven't watched your channel in awhile, watched your channel back in 2013
I bet you look forward to every spring and summer. St. Louis, being farther north (than the southeast states, Missouri is in the Midwest), so the atmosphere is too cold and stable in the fall and winter. That's a shelf cloud.
I heard about this on the news
kid is crazy.you never ever video stuff when there is a bad storm approachin.your life is more important than a video
if i saw this approaching, i'll just passout due to the fear, even if its just a server storm....
Wow! That's awesome!
Looks terifying 👍💯
Dang!! Wall cloud!!
joshthesupertagger this is crazzy
scary stuff there dude omg very intimidating
I thought in that state you'd get these kinds of storms every summer. In Oklahoma and Kansas these occur weekly in sections of those states. Maybe I do come from a relatively calm state as far as weather goes (Oregon) but even we can get hail that size and 60mph winds on the occasion. I understand and completely share your enthusiasm for storms (I myself have a strong curiosity for it since I was in middle school!) but I'm not quite as high-strong (or excited) in my videos. ;)
I would love a good chase or two in the central US, not sure I want to really live there though. If I ever had a family or lots of valuables you can't replace, not sure what would be running through my mind in tornadoes.
supercell1995 the southern half of Missouri gets them alot. STL usually doesn't get what we do.
I know when you see a severe storm you come outside and look when there is a derecho it doesn’t matter you have to get inside
Also I’ve been in a derecho before it’s really bad so When you see it or when you know it is coming just prepare yourself and don’t worry about the camera
0:32 if that's what your talking about that's not a wall cloud that's a squall line aka a shelf cloud
Go about 2 or 300 miles south to Arkansas.....now that is something to see
Beautiful supercell derecho
What size was that hail again??????😁
Why did you stop? In socal it's 104 degrees and I like the bad weather...wish I was there...
Ok his voice is cute but I can't stand listening to it like telling us how big the hail is etc. like I know it's very exciting to you but just don't be telling us how big the hail is getting. That was pretty annoying to me. Especially at the beginning when you were all oh my god I've never seen a storm like this. Look at this etc. just calm down dude everyone has seen a storm like this before. Other than that love the video keep up the good work. Just had to get that stuff of my chest and I'm sorry about that.
No what's annoying is how you late basically telling him to curb his excitement because it's inconvenient for you. Take what you're passionate about for example. Whatever it may be. And imagine someone telling you to chill out. No. If it's annoying to you that he's excited and happy about this then don't watch it.
Erin Perry
Idiot
I wish people would just mind their own business. If you didn't like what he said, then don't watch it. Damn
Well like he told us it's incredible
Good idea that you sought shelter. Best thing to do when you see green in the sky. At around 5:30 does anyone else see rotation?
how long did the line of storms stretch
Josh quick tip
Blue clouds mean severe weather
Green clouds mean tornadoes
Use it if you need it
Green skies means heavy rain and hail. It does not mean tornadoes. I don't know where you got the blue sky term from, but I know that dark clouds can mean severe weather or a regular thunderstorm.
Awesome storm
Man, we got hit by the same storm years ago and it was just insane
If I may ask, what part of Saint Louis?
Warned for 70 mph wind gusts and no sirens?!
Now that is a wall cloud
Unrest. Looks very nasty outside😳👀
Going green.
do yall ever wonder where the birds go in weather like this?
The green color is terrifying......
Nice video. I have no idea how old you are, but I'm guessing close to college age. When I was watching your other tornado touchdown video where you disabled replies - presumably for negative comments about how excited you were. I was impressed by your knowledge on severe weather. This is good stuff! Lots of professionals get nervous/excited when a big storm is near, so don't let the YT jerks get to you. My point being, have you considered studying meteorology? You've got the passion for it and I'd hate to see a good chance slip past you. If nothing else, consider becoming a volunteer storm watcher for the NWS.

Thanks for your videos!
btw, Looks like today is turning out to be a good day (May 11, 2016) for severe weather 'round here. It's really soupy out there and the atmosphere has just become very unstable. Bring it on, baby!
OMG! It's a breeze! Calm the fuck down. It's a flicker of light and a dark shade of grey.
I saw the clouds rotate
wow I get nervous about any tornado or storm
Same....
I felt like I was in a tornado 🌪
I feel like I'm watching twister lol
Real cool.
I SAWED A EF4 TORNADO HIT ST LOUIS AT 9 O CLOCK IT WAS LARGE TORNADO NEAR RED STREET IN 11TH STREET
9:03. The Clouds are Faster:)
This is f'ing frightening!!!
Green sky means tornadoes
Derp o3o I like this
❗❗❗❗AWESOME❗❗❗❗
Independent day
Green means tornadoes or severe storm
It means hail and heavy rain.
My state got hit by one of these beasts last August!
not for nothing but this dude is so dramatic about a storm but didn't st Louis get rocked bye a EF4 tornado a couple yrs before this here storm, bud?
Dude !
I usually don't like to be overly critical when I watch weather videos but most of the time "power flashes" are mentioned they appear as only lightning. I have witnessed power flashes in windstorms and they are always blue; typically a different color than the lightning occurring in storms. Also power flashes don't illuminate an entire sky, rather they are more localized bright lights and the flashes themselves last longer than lightning (maybe like a strobe light? Not sure if this is an accurate description of them...). There are a few legitimate power/transformer flashes in these videos so I'll admit that but 99% of the flashes seem to be lightning in the videos.
what weather app do u use for your radar stuff
He annoys me when he just tells us what's going on and he pretty much talks though the whole video
yall had a tornado
Man, that wouldn't even qualify as a thunderstorm where I live. Just a rain shower. I suppose it's all in what you're used to.
pffff few years ago it was 3x worse then that in my area.
hey, you still get on Skype?
Meh.
That's a scary and ugly sky
