Raw sounds from MotoGP 2024 bikes testing at Mugello Circuit: Honda, Yamaha & Aprilia! (HQ Audio)

- After many years waiting to record some raw MotoGP testing footage on a proper race track, yesterday I finally managed to attend a test session among some of the 2024 teams at Mugello Circuit, in Italy. The test was predominantly organized by Honda and Yamaha, but there was also Aprilia taking advantage of the opportunity for some further developments with their test rider, Lorenzo Savadori.
The Japanese manufacturers are permitted additional test days as part of the 2024 MotoGP concessions rules, an attempt to help the manufacturers most in need from a performance point of view, stipulated by a ranking depending on the percentage of the possible maximum points each brand has accrued in a determined time frame. One very beneficial aspect of being in the lowest rank is the possibility to carry out these test days with the official riders, limited only by the number of tyres available (which are higher in number than the highest ranked constructors).
Other advantages for these teams are the development of the engine, which, unlike the constructors without concessions, is not frozen, and the possibility to test on an unlimited number of circuits where a World Championship race will be held.
Riders taking part were Repsol Honda’s Joan Mir and Luca Marini and LCR Honda’s Johann Zarco and Takaaki Nakagami developing the 2024 RC213Vs. For Yamaha, Alex Rins and Fabio Quartararo were on track with their YZR-M1s.
Listen to the 1.0-liter V4 engines of the Aprilia and Honda prototypes compared to the 1.0-liter cross-plane inline-4 of the YZR-M1s on the ups and downs of the Tuscan circuit!

FUCK !!!! this is better than MOTOGP. there is always some noise reduction from their cameras even when the commentators are talking or even when not talking......this is the SOUND ALL FANATICS WANT TO LISTEN TO..... the downshifting and popping sounds....oohh my, just great !!!!!

People don't realise how loud they actually are, it's just about the loudest there is, cars and bikes everything. Do not attend MotoGP without earplugs!

nobody cares🤡🤡 Why you clowns always make these stupid comparisons? childish much? Usually the MotoGP was more amazing than F1 but the last years were opposite with boring races in MotoGP. We had 2 great races in a row now, but dont forget we had years of boring racing in motogp.

People do a lot of whinging on the internet about the insane amount of trickery in these bikes, but mark my words: the moment they're gone, they'll looked upon with the same reverence as Can-Am cars.
I never could quite detect the difference between the V4s and the Yamaha's crossplane I4, but now I hear them in isolation? The Yamaha seems to produce more resonance and a deeper, richer tone. I wish the blue bikes weren't struggling so hard performance-wise, but at least they win the sound contest lol
Ive been few times in MotoGP tests and got the chance to hear the Yamaha engine in slow corners without other noise around and Ive fell in love. On the other hand, I find KTM and specially Honda a little disgusting.
Pd: Years ago there were V4 screamer. They used to sound very very well.

I'm the one to look fondly at the 2000's bikes so I don't think I will. But also, the reduction in aero and bike width is negligible. 50mm, 25mm on both sides aren't gonna do much. But it's also a chance to slow down SBK and make it a true stock championship again like it's supposed to
The way that engine handles engine braking when riders are downshifting at those speed and that also multiple gears...a piece of art
V4 sound engines in MotoGP are absolutely gorgeous, impressive.

The inline 4 on the Yamaha doesnt sound bad either.

Go watch before 2027. They will have smaller engines and less power after 2026 because of the new rules and regulations in 2027.
@@hydralance8837True, but they will still be loud. Even 800cc bikes had a nice sound.
@@Motorbikes950 imo the 800s sounded the best. However with the new regulations they will be forced to have smaller pistons and longer stroke which probably means less rpm. But you never know. I personally don't think the sound will be worse than the 1000ccs. Not as loud maybe, but it could still be mighty aggressive.
And MotoGP have a great battles too. Its worth to watch
1:58 the bike wobbling on corner entry, exactly what Taka was recently complaining about in an interview...
Even Zarco said that it doesn't matter what new parts they try, it's the bike's baseline that's not competitive.
Seems like a frame/suspension geometry issue since it unloads enough to wobble the entire thing. But yeah, that doesn't look fun to ride at all.

I'm first and foremost a car guy and a car racing fan, but boy oh boy do I find bikes amazing to watch. These current MotoGP bikes sound absolutely glorious, especially with this audio quality. It's also spectacular to watch the way these guys move their body and bike as one to take corners, it's a level of mastery that is impossible not to respect - whether or not you watch bike racing.
The quality of shooting and sound was absolutely fabulous, I really appreciate your work and keep making cool videos like this mate

Great stuff, appreciated! I tried finding some MotoGP track action on RUclips before, but most footages were shaky or the riders weren't properly tracked. I thought 'It would be great if Bozzy could make one.' And today when I opened the channel, boom! It happened!

It's weird but the video is so good I can literally feel the grip of the tyres and the violence of the brakes
Had the pleasure of listening to this for a whole race weekend. The unique thing about all of this is the track. All tracks echo the sound so differently. No doubt you can hear the bikes from anywhere on the track. The acoustics created by open spaces & confined sections really does allow unique sounds from all of those parts. This video is great because we hardly get to hear individual bikes dancing around the track like this. Epic sounds right here 🏍💨

Man, Fabio was putting the hammer to that Yamaha - since they get full concession they can bring new engines in when they want and it looks (sounds!) like motor development is going full guns! I hope they find something out quickly so both Fabio and Alex benefit this season, though I think they may have trouble doing it. That engine does sound maniacal though.

Moto2s are currently at the top of my list of bikes to record! Especially in a similar test session. I would like to avoid making videos during their racing weekends so as not to run into image rights problems with Dorna, as it happens with F1

Bozzy. Thank you very much for this video that I have never seen live of moto gp motorcycles, and this is the closest I feel to a moto gp motorcycle in my life, the sound is crazy, I love it. When I listen to the video I can feel the traction control and how the up and down gears sound and the different engine sounds, this is much better than watching MotoGP on TV. You can also do it with the wsbk motorcycles.

I attend indian gp 2023 and my seat was the nearest to starting line … i swear whn the race started and all of them started revving at highest rpms … the sound was deafenining and majestic both at once
