New subscriber, friend. What got me, was when you recited that Poem by William E. Strafford, who described himself as 'one of the quiet of the land.' My late grandmother, Katy Cosgrove, came from a village in North Mayo, Gweesalia. Synge stayed there, and wrote 'The Playboy of the Western World'. My old grandad, Joseph Cannon, was from Lettermacward, Donegal, in the Rosses. Because I've not visited Ireland before, writing their names here kind of allows me to keep them alive.

Fascinating stuff, I can imagine the energy of such a place could be felt. It seems that for hundreds of thousands of years humans have respected their dear ones by the efforts they’ve gone to bury them. We now spend a lot of money and energy discovering these places so that we can learn about the lives of people in the past. We also rely on the written word leaving us messages and knowledge. Neither of of which we seem to leave for future generations

The Carrowkeel Passage tombs are certainly mysterious and fascinating - but what is a bit more strange is that this video should have far more Views and Likes... You've made a fine video, showing the landscape from a human point of view (not from a drone!) and you've been brave to crawl into these spaces and film from within. A job very well done!

Ya missed the best spot up there. There's an underground cave just beyond that fence you crossed over towards the end of the video.

I often go to places like this to find the comfort of silence and the sense of loneliness leaves me. My companion is the sense of self in the quiet. I feel lonely in the noise of others when I'm disconnected from them. This grounds me.

I think there is a massivecastle, pyramid or structure of some kind under this rocks, buried under earth after an ancient cataclysm.

And right there, at the very start, with your first words, you state why those tombs exist up there in the misty mountains...to the Ancients' minds the paths up those mountains were exactly that: stairways to heaven - the sun, the moon, the stars, the blue sky...

You shouldn't be entering the tombs and telling you tube to come do the same and cause damage. They were empty for 4000 years up until recently and now its on you tube as a free for all. Our country an culture is gone to the wind.

Could you please let the English know Newgrange is significantly older than Stonehenge. And tell them to get over their pile of bricks

It's also a much better build, structurally sound and intact after thousands of years, too. Meanwhile, Stonehenge is falling apart.
