    Can you tell us where you picked up the brass strips for this project? I have been searching and nothing. Thanks for any help.

      We had them specially made for us for the same reason. We could not find any "raw" material that matched our needs. We sell them in our store at cost. We rebate 50% shipping costs for small orders.

    Great video. I'm not understanding how to identify insulated vs non insulated wheels. I have all steel wheels connected to plastic trucks same as you used.

      Insulated wheel have a bit of plastic connecting the axle and the wheel - on one side only. You can test this with a simple LED lightbulb circuit or a meter.

    Could also drill the truck pin to get the wire into the car

      Possible but the risk is that the wire will catch something since it has to be loose and would be likely lower that the height of the axle. For N scale it would also weaken the plastic pin. Generally, if you put the wire under the "inside" axle - that's the best approach. Thanks for the comment.
