I wasnt able to find that balance and Im 31 back in school for nursing. Hopefully getting it right this time! I envy the young 20 year olds in my program for getting it together at that age and I admire the older women with kids in my program who are killing it even though they have way more responsibilities then me!

I'm 22 and I'm entering my last year of college and I live paycheck to paycheck. I don't have a car and I pay all my bills on my own and I'm in about $2000 in credit card debt. It seems like a little but when you're always broke it's a lot. This video made me feel so much better

My mom passed when I was 8....I recently found a motherless daughters private support group on fb and it has given me soooo much I've been missing & needing re my life after mom's passing. I highly recommend you give it a go. Big hugs 🤗😘

I will be 40 August 8th. My 20’s was my absolute stupid stage. I learned a lot about myself in my late 20’s and 30’s. I know exactly what I want and don’t want at this point. It’s a kickass feeling! I don’t give a damn about much(never really did). All I can tell my younger babies is don’t rush yourself. Life isn’t a race or sprint. It’s a marathon honestly. Pace yourself, don’t gauge your life on your peers. Do what is best for you at your moment at time. Don’t allow society or family to dictate what your success is. Live your life, make wise decisions and take your time loves! 🖤🖤🖤🖤

I relate 100%. I'm 31 and changed careers when I turn 30. Left a field that I was in for 15 years. I didn't know the difference between boys and men when I was in my twenties but I definitely do now and I'm enjoying being single.

This was actually super validating. You're unusual in that you have seen both the privileged and under-privileged side of money and saving. Being poor is expensive, saving is hard when you don't have the money for groceries but you do have the money for McDonald's, etc. We will make our world better, but for now... Have compassion. 🌍❤️

Maria Glams A good credit score shows that you’re reliable and consistent with paying your bills. Essentially, most things that you want to buy and rent check your credit score to see if you actually pay your bills. If you want to rent an apartment, take loans, buy a car, get a credit card etc., they check your credit. If your credit isn’t good they’ll either reject you or make you pay a high interest back.
The Budgetnista has a lot of great info on how credit works and a bunch of other financial topics. She's on insta @thebudgetnista check her out if you remember. I'm 27 and I wish I'd found her sooner. 😕

Yes. We have to be able to celebrate other people’s success and be easy on ourselves when we feel like we’re not where we want to be. It’s a horrible thing that I think everyone really struggles with throughout their twenties because so much is happening with school, careers, marriage, children, etc.

I’m 23 and just got married and honey let me tell you when you said be single for a year or two that really hit home! I embraced my singleness and throughout those two years I met my husband who was just a friend at the time. I never thought we would be here because he wasn’t the type of guy I went for during my immature phase. But now that I’ve matured, I realized how perfect he was and he was standing right in front of me! I’ve also been really hard on myself for not being able to save as much as I want to because I’m still in school and haven’t gotten to my career field yet (one more semester!) so I’m learning to take it easy and understand IT’S A PROCESS. “It’s not that deep” and not taking anyone serious was a lesson I learned in this past year at 23 - because of that, I feel so joyful and relaxed despite the struggles I continue to face. Life has been a lot less stressful.

Baby, breathe. I get what you are saying but believe me, most things figure themselves out. Like at 17, all you gotta do is what you are supposed to; school, friends, family, side hustle if you want. Just don't overwhelm yourself at that age. Life was never meant to be overwhelming at 17.

Alexa Sandoval Rivera honestly I struggled with saving too and I just turned 20. The year that passed by I’ve been spending all my money and wondering where tf it all goes. But I swear to you if you just start watching RUclips videos on financial matters you can begin your journey. It really isn’t as hard as we think it is. Even if you save 5 per week that can turn into something huge.
Your parents are supposed to teach you this. People are too reliant on the public school system to teach their kids everything..... there is not enough time in the day.
sbostic08 there’s actually plenty of time in the day. taking one financial class in high school is way more valuable than chemistry or calculus
sbostic08 teacher here - I agree parents should have conversations with their kids about financial planning BUT there is absolutely time to cover it especially junior or senior year in high school. It can be easily incorporated into a math class.
What I did was to just decide on a sensible amount from my salary, which I know I can definitely save every month. It doesn't really matter the amount, it is consistency that matters. I always put this money into my savings account everytime I get my paycheck.
I love this video , I hit 25 and everything in my life changed , my attention got caught when you said you were 21 and divorced and just experiencing a "with is going on" stage , especially at an age where others are graduating college or in a different stage than you are makes you rethink so much. years later I've realized my life is my life and the stages I've endured where meant to be for my OWN JOURNEY. also, putting yourself thru different things to make others happy when it came to career choices lol . so much relevance in this video, I LOVE IT, cause your 20s are truly the trial and error stage of your life and it is OK. once I grew into the mindset and understood that it is OK to mess up or not have it all together I became happier knowing that as long as I am trying and happy and growing , Ill be good! def subscribing .
