All the green fields gone, replaced by a rabbit Warren of housing. My journey was late 50s when the station master at Alvechurch kept a beautiful cottage garden, I think he won best kept station a few times. The sound of the steam engine lulled you to sleep, saying whatever you wanted it to say.

1989 the year we moved to Alvechurch - many fond memories of the children laughing as they bounced along.

Brilliant stuff. Those Tyseley quad sets were so slow! 115-116-127-116 for anyone wondering 🤣

Alvechurch station has now moved north and become a 2-platform job.
