Caine is an ai so he doesn’t have a headset to remove in the first place. Based on his talking about making an exit door but “not knowing what to put on the other side”, I’d go so far as to speculate that he doesn’t even really understand the concept of the outside world due to not having any real frame of reference for exactly what that means. Gooseworx has confirmed that he’s just incompetent rather than evil though
Hey. First time watching a video on your channel and I got to say I love your appreciation for Hiland catile. Don't mind my spelling I mean the cow breed behind you.
Jax is voiced by the VA for Angel Dust, Michael Kovach, Queen is voiced by the singing voice for Charlie, and Zooble is voiced by Michael's IRL girlfriend.
Kinger is the ( human ) that has been here the longest. Cain is an AI. Some theories say that Kinger and Qweener were the creators of the game. Since Jax said that Kinger has been here the longest.
I'm actually surprised you figured out Kinger immediately just by Jax calling him crazy... of course, he IS a bit crazy, but he is also knowledgeable about the digital world, and he has some surprisingly lucid moments in-between forgetting where he is or what he's doing. Also, you probably already realized this, but when Jax said Kinger's been there the longest, he mean among the humans trapped in the Digital Circus (which includes Pomni, Ragatha, Jax, Gangle, Kinger, Zooble, and formerly Kaufmo). Caine is not human, but rather an advanced AI (his name even being an acronym for "Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity") that has control over every aspect of that digital world (aside from the human characters' minds, which he admits is the only thing he doesn't have control over).
It's not a VR game, their consciousnesses have been uploaded to a computer. Cain is the AI tasked with keeping their minds occupied to avoid them going crazy. Their appearances are related to what they expected the "game" to be about (I guess Kinger and his friend just wanted to play chess) Pomni obviously expected something funny. The fact that Caine programmed the "Exit" but was too lazy to finish it might be a hint of his AI / memory being overwhelmed with the task appointed to him. The digital lake has only one defined function - to drown yourself in. A hint that swimming hasn't been coded into the simulation yet while drowning has... or maybe suicide is one of the few ways out. / end theory rant
The creator compared TADC to “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream” (sci fi story about an ai tormenting the last humans forever and they can’t die) in the initial pitch. Based on that, I think Pomni is in for a very bad time.
if you want to know, Cane aparently is an IA meant to lead the digital word, so he was always in there, and Kingler was like one of the earliest persons to join
"We do not venture into the Void. Even I don't know what's there." *Later fears that the person lost in the Void (being Pomni) will be spoiled.* "We'll stay right here, where I can keep my hundreds of all-seeing eyes on you." *Later, has no idea what's going on.* -"Let's talk about something else? What is your name?" -"My name? My name is... uh... oooOOOH... Oh my God! Why can't I remember my name?" -"No one remembers his name once they enter here." *So why are you asking in the first place?* "What do you say about Pomni?" *Is the Russian word for "to remember", although no one remembers his name.* "Don't worry Zooble! I'll make it something unobtrusive that you can still choose to not get involved with!" *Later, the Gloinks capture him, making his rescue a major objective.* Cain, you nasty %$🎩!#
My theory right now is that the circus is actually a device which copies someone's brainwaves into a computer. But then the creators of the device had no plan as to what to do with the copies, so they created Cane to try and keep them sane until they had something to do with them. So nobody's getting trapped in there. Just digital copies of people. And the computer can only keep up with 6 at once, hence why someone abstracts when a new person arrives
Whether they're a copy or the original person has no bearing on whether they're real people. If they're copies, that would just make them not the same people, still people. The only thing relevant to that is whether a real mind can be represented on a computer (in this fictional world) in the first place.
I have the theory that the perfomers represent different personality disorders. Anxiety(pomni), fear(kingler), selfishness(jax), anger(kaufmo), etc. What if the headset was a technology that was supposed to help cure ppl of their debilitating personality disorders. Strap it on and instantly feel relief from your crippling issue. BUT what if the tech takes those negative aspects of your mind away and dumps them into the circus? That's why they have no memory. Also it would lend itself to making the existential horror even worse because even with a route back to the real world, they've nowhere to go. 😱🙂 Interesting things I've spotted. * Before the introduction song Caine mentioned "paraphernalia" that "we" would be seeing. That implies objects/items/things and yet what we end up watching is the trapped performers... * When Caines watch detected a player in the Void, he said "oh no, they'll be *spoiled*". That's a word used for perishable goods/food/products..... * When Jax said "she still thinks it's a dream", he was not talking to Ragatha. He was breaking the forth wall and talking to us.... * The adventures aren't dangerous, but Kaufmo's abstracted form was as Zoobuls fate barely bothered them but Kaufmo's was seen as a real danger. Re- Jax's reaction to the adventure compared to Kaufmo. *Caine isnt all-seeing because he had no idea what was going on to his circus or players, even abstraction, until Pomni entered the void. Then he still didnt know himself, his wacky watch alarm had to alert him. *Caine barely knows anything about the real world.... " *Drown* in the digital Lake,..... *ridery* at the digital fair" hint at that. If that's so how did he know what offices in the real world looks like? Maybe through the cameras in the place where the headset and computer are sitting? That also explains why the exit maze has "A" computer office room but is not "THE" computer office room. I dont think they are the same because Caine's had no windows or natural light but the one we come out of at the end has natural light streaming across the wall. * Other than the final corridor connected to the void the Exit Maze was totally stable, until Pomni's extreme reaction to the computer and headset started causing the lights to flicker on and off.... why then? 🤔 *We saw that there was no one in the chair with the headset on at the end of the episode. *Kinger and Jax, at least, have been there for years but no human body could survive that long without food and water in the real world obviously... also, We saw that there was no one in the chair with the headset on at the end of the episode so no it doesn't seem to be that their bodies are in the real world with a headset on. If that's the case either ppl we're getting sucked in fully, which I'm sure someone would notice and shut down the program, OR when the headset went on no one was aware that any downloading had occurred. Pomni memories that only started from the moment the headset went on could be another point in that favour. *I also have a theory about Bubble. Bubble is one of the few things Caine can't control because whoever created Caine created Bubble as well. Why would I say that? Because if Bubble was just another of his creations, then Caine would have more control over him. Instead, Bubble constantly interrupts him, does stuff that pisses him off( I.E- eating the cake), and grosses him out (I.E- licking up the vomit). His words, "You parasite!" & " also suggest lack of control *The personality trait being removed and it being the devices purpose is just supposition on my behalf. More like "what would i do with the story" 🤔🙃, but adding that to my belief that Glitch and Gooseworks wouldn't just do a rinse and repeat of "downloaded minds" and the added horror of "they can't leave" because they're not fully a person and have no body waiting for them in the real world... well I know I'd love that twist and what the show runners would do with it 😉 Ok that's some of the stuff ive picked up on. Could it be meaningful or could mean nothing 😅
My thoughts on "sad and weak" Gangle. With Gangle's masks. They both look fragile, and the comedy mask did break after a small drop.( in a little extra from Gooseworx, we see Gangle looking in a mirror with broken comedy masks all over the walls.) But when she was dragged into the Gloink hole her sad mask smashed into the ground, hard, but didn't even get a blemish on it. That implies that her "smile" is so very thin, yes.... but that she ( her core, sad self) is a lot tougher than she looks. 🤔..😥💪...🤔
Amazing digital circus is a pretty cool show, I do like it a lot! It reminds me a lot of another RUclips show called ONE by cheesyhfj. Which could be interesting to watch while waiting for more ADC episodes. Anyway, thanks for the great video.
Its funny to me how you sympathize with Pomni and really like Zooble, as i totally pictured those as who you and your boo would cosplay as/feel like haha (well, you could have also maybe been Ragetha with your caring streak but… ehh)
I’m curious about what happens to the physical bodies once they put the headsets on Their mind goes into the circus, but what about their body? Does it go with them, and simply vanish? Does it stay behind? If someone in the real world finds their body and takes the headset off of them, do they leave the game? Do they stay there?
As for genders, almost everyone is as they present, but Zooble doesn't even know _what_ they're supposed to be, let alone their gender. So they're just kinda... _them._
Alot of people assume Jax knows more but fully accept canes explanation for the exit door. He glances to the right which usually signifies that someone is lying
He's just being awkward because he's been caught in a lie. The lie he told earlier that Pomni was "hallucinating" the exit door. In reality, he was just trying to keep the door a surprise so he could show them what he was building once it was finished. Caine has been confirmed to be trying to help, he just doesn't understand humans or the context of their entrapment very well. They wanted to leave, and he as an AI had no idea they meant "leave the digital world entirely" (why would an AI be programmed to recognise that, normally if a player wants to leave they'll just quit a game - Caine isn't programmed to recognise that they can't) so he assumes they just want to leave the central area, so he tries to build something else for them to explore.
Well other people have probably already pointed this out, but Gooseworx, the creator behind this pilot did confirm on social media that Caine isn't a human but rather a rogue AI who is very incapable of understanding human desires. Same for Bubble. He might know a way out but just doesnt know why anyone would want that, or even that its what the cast wants. But yeah beyond that youre pretty on point, its basically Sword Art Online but in a pre-rendered late 90's/early 2000's kids computer game, and the crazy mental toll it'd take to be stuck inside that for days, months, years, even decades. Goose did mention that of the human characters basically everyone are in their 20's except Kinger who is like 48! For all we know so far he could've been stuck inside for 20 years or more. Especially if we go by the idea that this is some kind of turn of the millenium PC game and it takes place in the present day. Theorizing here but you do bring up that if the King falls the game is over. That makes me think, but Kinger could potentially be the game's developer. Stuck in his own creation and having lost his mind. Also yeah I can see how itd be your cup of tea. For context the show is created by someone who goes by Gooseworx like I mentioned. They're a long time musician, comic artist, and animator here on RUclips. They have a few other indie animations (of the much MUCH more dark and surreal variety) on their own channel like Little Runmo, but theyve also helped Vivziepop on both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. For those 2 theyve done the music score for both's pilots, as well as work on some background character designs. The 2 have collaborated for a long time.
Just for future reference, when you’re reacting to indie animation on RUclips, you don’t have to make all of the cuts and edits to avoid copyright. Since it’s already free to watch the creators don’t care.
the amazing digital circus is a very glitchy game with a glitchy AI that wants to keep people who get trapped in the game happy despite not really understanding human emotions.
caine is supposedly an AI which is why he isn't considered to "be there the longest" as he's presumed to be part of the game. this would explain why he doesn't seem to understand the mental breakdowns the residents are having as he legit doesn't get it. i have two theories about caine: 1) he's not an AI but the creator of the game/circus and got stuck in it. 2) he is really an AI and when whoever created the game left, he felt abandoned and lost its mind.
My theory (that MatPat totally stole, not because we both saw the same clues I'm sure) is that these people aren't humans. (Spoilers below only if I'm right) Their copies Copies of real people who put on the headset and either tested or played the game normally, then took it off o go on with their lives. But they all left a copy behind. A copy with some of their memories, most of their personality, and all of their emotions. A copy that doesn't know they're a copy.
Whether they're a copy or the original person has no bearing on whether they're real people. The only thing relevant to that is whether a real mind can be represented on a computer (in this fictional world) in the first place. If so, a copy is still a real person, just a different person.
Honestly, while I did enjoy TADC and it's always great to see new creative indie animation on YT, I dont quite get the massive hype around this pilot. Sure, if it had come out pre-Hazbin Hotel, but right now it doesn't really stand out. There are a host of great things about this pilot, so I won't go into that, just know that I do appreciate the amazing talent and creativity that went into this. Overall though, I don't really "get" TADC. I get that I'm not supposed to know what's going on, but the whole thing just seems disjointed to me. Most of the time I actually feel like I have too much information for me to truly fear a horrifying reveal. We already know from the very start, that most of the characters are trapped humans. We already know, that the digital world has a definite end with a void beyond it. We already know what happens when a character finally loses it and goes insane. We already have a pretyy good idea of the extent and limitsnof Caine's powers. Sure there's a mystery, but there doesn't seem to be much for the audience to dread. The digital world supposedly has a circus theme, but apart from Kaufmo, Pomni and Caine the characters aren't really circus themed, neither are the inside of the tent or any of the activities the characters participate in. It looks more like a chaotic kids' playland, which would be horrifying enough, so why go with something as specific as a circus, if you aren't going to have it as a consistent theme? Also: I personally think they're overdoing it with the existential angst. Seeing Pomni freak out over everything is fun, but it doesn't really do much to explore her as a character. Throughout the pilot there is so much going on for Pomni to constantly react to and freak out over, that we never get to see her in a normal, calm state, where we could get to know her. I feel like I know virtually all the other characters better than I do our main girl, which is a shame, because the VA is doing a banger job and visually she's by far the most expressive. The Gloink "sidequest" also felt weird, both because it was non-sensical (which was somewhat the point) but it was also strange tonally - it had the vibes of a "scary" story for very young children, but lacked the actual horror elements of the glitches and the feeling that something is "off". Also, since the Gloink infestation was created specifically to get Pomni used to the activities of the digital world, it was kinda weird narrative-wise, that she took no part in it whatsoever. TADC certainly has potential, and I will gladly watch any further installments, but unlike a Hazbin Hotel, a Murder Drones or a Lackadaisy, it really doesn't have me aching for more.
Caine isn't evil, he's just kind of stupid. He's an AI admin meant to run things and make the world better for the human gamers. Unfortunately, he's not the smartest at doing that and obliviously puts them in danger quite frequently. Especially since nobody can die in the Digital Circus, but they can still feel pain.

You were literally one of the only reactors who noticed the glitch in the song. Congratulations 🎉
First time watching, heard your Accent and OH MY GOODNESS IT'S SO CHARMING!!!
The queen’s name is Queenie btw, not Queener
That's a sweet setup you got Mosco. I've had good experiences with a standing desk at my old job. 👍
The queen chess piece was confirmed to be called Queenie. And she isn’t the only one with a crossed out door…
There’s some theory out there that the queen equivalent of Kinger was called Queenie. But that’s just a theory I saw online.
I've been looking forward to this all day, I'm struggling through covid and I needed something to get me through the day! Ty for posting!
I love the pilot so much. Great reaction!
No matter how many times I hear it the you parasite line always makes me laugh most likely die to the delivery of the line itself from Alex rochon
13:38 the fact that you see king's room when you said that is funny to me
3:39 Very Early 2000's Computer Gaming.
Well Petz was a late 90s game so that's what I was thinking of
It's not a VR game, their consciousnesses have been uploaded to a computer.
Cain is the AI tasked with keeping their minds occupied to avoid them going crazy.
Their appearances are related to what they expected the "game" to be about (I guess Kinger and his friend just wanted to play chess)
Pomni obviously expected something funny.
Modern horror: our childhood toys are trying to kill us and our children's shows are existential nightmare worlds.
Hi, um I just wanted to let you know that Caine is AI, so he never entered the realm he was already there!😊 That is why he has so much control.
"We do not venture into the Void. Even I don't know what's there."
*Later fears that the person lost in the Void (being Pomni) will be spoiled.*
"We'll stay right here, where I can keep my hundreds of all-seeing eyes on you."
*Later, has no idea what's going on.*
-"Let's talk about something else? What is your name?"
-"My name? My name is... uh... oooOOOH... Oh my God! Why can't I remember my name?"
-"No one remembers his name once they enter here."
*So why are you asking in the first place?*
"What do you say about Pomni?"
*Is the Russian word for "to remember", although no one remembers his name.*
"Don't worry Zooble! I'll make it something unobtrusive that you can still choose to not get involved with!"
*Later, the Gloinks capture him, making his rescue a major objective.*
Cain, you nasty %$🎩!#
Technically, Caine never asked for her name.
the creator of the show confirmed that cain isn't the main villain or overall no villain
7:44 Caine Is Obviously Hiding Something.
Jack the bunny is 22 years old which basically means he is the youngest
5:42 You And Morgan Agree On Something. ❌🤬🚫😂
Interesting things I've spotted.
* Other than the final corridor connected to the void the Exit Maze was totally stable, until Pomni's extreme reaction to the computer and headset started causing the lights to flicker on and off.... why then? 🤔
*We saw that there was no one in the chair with the headset on at the end of the episode.
His words, "You parasite!" & " also suggest lack of control
*The personality trait being removed and it being the devices purpose is just supposition on my behalf. More like "what would i do with the story" 🤔🙃, but adding that to my belief that Glitch and Gooseworks wouldn't just do a rinse and repeat of "downloaded minds" and the added horror of "they can't leave" because they're not fully a person and have no body waiting for them in the real world... well I know I'd love that twist and what the show runners would do with it 😉
Ok that's some of the stuff ive picked up on.
I've never seen someone analyse a cartoon so much as to just watching it. I could guess what career you wanted originally.
Been waiting for this one.
Great reaction wee lass!!!! Can't wait for more!!!
I definitely had to be in the right frame of mind to watch this one!
YESSS I suggested this. I did and probably a million others.
Cannot wait
:D
I’m curious about what happens to the physical bodies once they put the headsets on
Their mind goes into the circus, but what about their body? Does it go with them, and simply vanish? Does it stay behind? If someone in the real world finds their body and takes the headset off of them, do they leave the game? Do they stay there?
As for genders, almost everyone is as they present, but Zooble doesn't even know _what_ they're supposed to be, let alone their gender. So they're just kinda... _them._
Caine, Jax, Kinger, Kaufmo: Male
Pomni, Ragatha, Bubble, Gangle: Female
@@alansmithee419 Just curious, where did this confirmation come from? is there a post or video involving goosework that confirms this?
The fact that I have to wait another year for the next episode…. I might actually commit a crime to get the next episode
Caine is an AI not a human.
The 2 have collaborated for a long time.
i just watched the pilot yesterday and its so trejkflsdbnejklwas
why the f did u skip the ending of pom pom going crazy thats one of the best part
:) i like It

One Day I Hope They Do Epithet Erased And/Or Hunter The Parenting
Caine and the gloink queen are both AI
Been seeing a bunch of "fan art" (porn) of the jester girl online lately and had no idea who she was. Now i do, and the show looks interesting.
Just for future reference, when you’re reacting to indie animation on RUclips, you don’t have to make all of the cuts and edits to avoid copyright. Since it’s already free to watch the creators don’t care.
Queenie (apparently her official name) as well as the other crossed out characters likely abstracted like Kaufmo.
Epithet erased please
The reason Cozmo clown isn’t there is because he is corrupted
Kofmoe
Jax is the 4th wall breaker. I wonder why…..
the amazing digital circus is a very glitchy game with a glitchy AI that wants to keep people who get trapped in the game happy despite not really understanding human emotions.
why did you said you didn't react to the show ?
I hope you enjoyed your visit to the circus that is amazing and digital. Also, Jax is best boi and Kinger is my spirit animal.
The creator of the show has out right stated that Kaine is an A.I. and the he is not evil, he just doesn't Understand humanity
caine is supposedly an AI which is why he isn't considered to "be there the longest" as he's presumed to be part of the game.
this would explain why he doesn't seem to understand the mental breakdowns the residents are having as he legit doesn't get it.
i have two theories about caine:
1) he's not an AI but the creator of the game/circus and got stuck in it.
2) he is really an AI and when whoever created the game left, he felt abandoned and lost its mind.
Yayyyy'y This Is Horro'r'' And Fun Too
Wonder if she realize that jax is N voice actor
I didn't need to realise because I'd already been told by about 50 people before I even watched the episode 🤣🤣
@@WeeLassReacts XD
Hay I love your videos that cheer me up so much after a long day thank you bty is your neck ok it's a bit red
Btw not bty sorry
My theory (that MatPat totally stole, not because we both saw the same clues I'm sure) is that these people aren't humans.
(Spoilers below only if I'm right)
Their copies
Copies of real people who put on the headset and either tested or played the game normally, then took it off o go on with their lives.

Is that a hicki? On her neck or a bruise? I know pale skin marks easily.
Wait a second why didn’t you want to react to it before?
I heard that Jack Black was or is going to voice... Kofmoe... the clown, I don't know how to spell his name.
Honestly I wasn’t going to watch it either, but I also couldn’t ignore the amount of people praising it
even younger than Pomni
Caine isn't evil, he's just kind of stupid. He's an AI admin meant to run things and make the world better for the human gamers. Unfortunately, he's not the smartest at doing that and obliviously puts them in danger quite frequently. Especially since nobody can die in the Digital Circus, but they can still feel pain.
Pomni is Lucy Gray confirmed??
Hi Momsco love you
Caine is just a crazed AI with both all the power AND all the limits. In short, Caine is an idiot.
