First interview I've seen where she comes across like a real person and not just with automatic responses. The loss hurt her but responses to questions were interesting. I was also kinda surprised at her beauty. Her on court outfits and demeanor don't really get you thinking about beauty, she's all about the tennis.
Gauff just lost the match with Navarro, falling into the same trap as Iga. Strength and uncontrolled aggression do not win on grass. Navarro played in a classic style without forcing the ball. She lets the ball come to her and doesn't go for the ball too aggressively like Coco did. It made me sad to see how helpless her coaches were when she turned to them in times of need. But it would be enough to tell Coco to move back from the ball a little and play calmly when the ball comes to her.

Also Iga was in the most of the shots having no time to adjust her position with those “well known small steps”. Like Yulia said in the presser she didn’t let Iga have time to play her game. Of course many of those deep baseline balls could’ve been out, but they weren’t. Navarro had much easier opponent and didn’t have to take so much risk.

She is right that it is a fact both players will always play a part in the result in tennis, it was obvious that Iga's mental game was off as she was clearly rattled which made her tighten up and lose focus and Yulia employed great grass court tactics and played extremely well. Maybe she did not use the down time effectively enough, because that time spent not competing at lead up tournaments should have given her the energy she needed for Wimbledon. She is not good enough on grass, and forehand extreme grip accounts for her inability to be as effective on grass as she is on clay, and hard court. Pleas stop making excuses for these losses.
