This is pure of heart, so beautiful but I wish a little longer. Perhaps there is a longer version hopefully. True friends are those who lift you up when your heart's wings forget how to fly. Who understand your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.
Hearing this, makes me think of someone standing at the grave of the only person he called Best Friend. Reminiscing over the years they spent together. The laughs. The tears. The late nights talking about what their goals for the future were. Making the promise to never let anyone, or anything, come between them. Best friends forever, they vowed. And even though his best friend is now gone, he awaits the day with Death will come for him too, so they would be able to see each other, once again.
" *Welcome to Amaria* . Welcome home," the princess said as she executed a perfect curtsy. She motioned with a flick of wrist for the leader of her knights-at-arms to step forward. He did as she bid. He had a mysterious and hard edge, a gruesome scar that ran from his forehead to the lower jaw, that in no way took away from his handsome visage. A slow smile curved his lips, or maybe the princess thought, a wicked and tantalizing grin was the best way to describe the general's deadly yet beautiful expression. He dropped to his knees, slowly grasped her hand and lowered his head for a kiss to the pulse of her inner wrist; a kiss that lingered a bit too long for propriety's senses, "Your *Riders* are home, Your Royal Highness. We beg you pardon of our attire this eve as we made haste home straight from the battlefield, from the *Adventures of Gillock* , to bring you tidings of great victory. The war is won, my liege." A soft sigh escaped her lips as she strained to hear the Rider's words over the din of the crowd's roars of excitement. His soft entreat to her for rest and protection from his battles and foes, were met with a favourable response. The princess' reply came out breathy, her voice husky as if covered by a soft *Blanket of Snow* , "You have come from afar, my Rider. Come and break your fast at my table, while I serve you as you have served Amaria. My handmaidens will guide your men to their own tables. Follow me, General." The Rider looked up, feasting his eyes on his benefactor. He knew come what may, he would always protect his home, but more so, he would always *Chase The Light* ; his sovereign ruler, brave and steadfast in her courage. His brilliant light; his princess, with gleaming, red hair as that of the skies at the setting of the sun and skin bronzed by the hot, summer's blaze. He did not dream like the others of his platoon of always riding in to battle, bathing in the blood of his enemies or being the best fighter to walk the Halls of Amaria. No, he was no fighting powerhouse; not a *New Machine* bred for war, nor had he designs of conquest as another warrior *Machine Dreams* of glory on the battlefield. His second in arms and oldest of his *Companions* clasped his shoulders in a friendly grip as they walked side by side, watching the princess glide gracefully up the stairs of the Great Hall. "A beauty beyond comparison, our golden princess is," his friend remarked. The Rider shot his friend a single, quelling look that made said man howl in laughter and finally utter pacifyingly before he went his own way and once his mirth had died down, "Fear not, old friend, she had eyes for no other but your scarred, ugly and sorry hide." The Rider merely grunted and with quick strides caught up the blazing beauty, claiming his place beside her once they sat at their meal. He watched her beneath a hooded gaze and when she finally looked at him from between thick, sultry lashes, murmured for her ears only, "I should hope to be friends with you, my princess, and one day, I should hope, after I have proven myself, you will call us *More Than Friends* ." And her smile, lustrous and lovely, was his greatest reward.
This is probably the best track they made so far. It's so full of emotions it's crazy. It shows that Two Steps From Hell are masters at what they are doing!
This piece is breathtaking. Of all the musical styles that Thomas is able to write, I can connect to this one the most. Excellent work, Thomas, and thank you very much for releasing this beauty for all to enjoy. If Amaria ever got a public release, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.
When i was fifteen that piece of tsfh was my hope. I always thought we were more than friends but as i grew older i have realized that we were only friends and i have so moved on and still waiting for the right person 💙.
This song is so beautiful, but yet so sad. It's hopeful and tender and just a tad bit reminiscent. It moved me when I found it. I've had a tab of this video up on my phone to listen to for about... three weeks now? I can honestly say that the first time I listened to this, I cried. When I am really down in the dumps, I've pulled up this song and just listened for a few hours. It's really turned my mood around on quite a few days, and when nothing can help, it's something that I can hit play and then cry myself out. Just something about 0:50 and 1:44 make them complete tearjerker for me. Thank you so much for composing this, I just love this song.

This beautiful song always reminds me of a wonderful dream I had. I was at a beach with a purple and pink sunset. The ocean was also purple, and I saw a white whale and white dolphins swimming. This song also makes me think of movies where characters say farewell to each other.
When I hear this song I was like....a Old man looking back in my old days of my youth on my final minutes of my life when I first found her when were both young lying in green field's dreaming... raising our hands in the sky promising such thing's make our face Blush and when we look at our eyes we know yes we do... This piece had inspired to my composition.
Calamity and Love & Loss are still higher in my scale but that shows the diversity in our opinions of great music.
