This is the most insane run I have ever seen! It just keeps going. I'm tired from just having watched it. I can't imagine not flatting or having some other mechanical issue. The brakes must take a beating too. If it wasn't for that first off on the glacier, podium might have been possible. Great Run.

Honest question from a roadie: I know nothing about downhill, so maybe I get something wrong, but it seemed like they were all really slow on the climbs, including him. Judging from the videi, that wasn't that steep
@@daskanguru140 judging from the video gopro uses a fisheye lens which flattens everything a bit makes it appear less steep and then there is the 2d screen effect so in reality that is probably a 40 50 degree incline

i watched it till the end! this is the most beautiful track i've ever seen! nice riding! great last second decisions to avoid other riders and excellent balance and energies saving in my opinion. i'm not sure if the shortcuts he took were fully legal, yet they were a nice and skilled expedient hehe nice nice nice, congratulations and again, terrific track!

yeah shortcuts were fully legal :) You can cut wherever you want as long as you pass through the pink flags ;)

Used to be my favorite thing running cross country. Come up to a bunch of chumps on a nice steep hill power through and pass 10 people

I was in the same race and my rear shimano Saint rotor completely burned on the top of the glacier. It was squealing like a pig and I lost my back brakes for the remaining of the race. Absolutely shit rotors never buying shimano again.... It was a bit dangerous to continue just with the front brake. It was hard but I manged to finish

Partir après tout le monde c'est sacrément dommage pour le classement, mais pas pour la vidéo... On s'identifie, c'est jouissif de doubler tout le monde ! Et puis comme ça on voit bien ton niveau par comparaison... Puissance, endurance, vitesse de décision... Adrénaline en flux continu et grande pratique. Et le souci du détail : mais comment fais-tu pour voir que la caméra doit être nettoyée ???

Søren Hansen I Don't think racers at this level have squeaky brakes for lack of maintenance. Those bikes were getting 10 years of abuse in under a 40 minute time span.
