    I can remember in the 1980s when I was around sixteen years old trying to ski down mountains like that. The fact is, I spent more time on the ground than being up right. How you managed to get down in one piece on a bike and even won in your age group is incredible. Well played..,..

    Belle descente, après avoir regardé plusieurs vidéos de l’édition 2018 (tu l'as surement aussi fait) mes conseils pour l'édition 2019 seraient:
    1- ne jamais prendre un virage à l’extérieur sur le glacier - tu te fais desinguer par ceux arrivant trop vite
    2-arriver un peu moins vite et prendre le virage sur glacier à l’intérieur - au final tu perd moins de places en évitant la chute (accidentelle ou provoquée)
    3-à l'endroit qui est à 6:08 de ta vidéo le gagnant Damien Oton prend un raccourcis à gauche de la pancarte - il arrive à doubler 5 compétiteurs d'un coup
    Après j'écris ça du fond de mon canapé et n'ai jamais fais de vtt de descente :)

    • @FredGtn
      @FredGtn 5 лет назад +5

      Le glacier c'est la boucherie sur l'etérieur des virages ^^

    • @rocket2732
      @rocket2732 5 лет назад +2

      Pour la 1 je suis moin d'accord avec toi car si tu le prend à l'intérieur tu risque de perdre l'équilibre avec la vitesse et du coup tu est obliger ralentir donc il faut le prendre à l'extérieur en restant stable en ralentissant un peu mais pas trop non plus

      Le truc c'est que ceux qui se sont trouvés éjectés à l'extérieur allaient juste un peu trop vite pour leurs pneus. Et en partant de la gauche de la piste, se remettre à l'intérieur nécessite de croiser plein de trajectoires de gars souvent en perdition...

    What I see what most riders need.. conditioning and strengthening.. you got to be able to take the hills and leave your competitors behind.. the big uphill is where you can leave a whole lot of people behind.. also step up on the pedals to get yourself up to some speed, then sit it back down and peddle hard.. when you start to take a hill down.. step up on the peddles and get to speed fast.. the faster you get to speed, the less peddling you will do you can either peddle the entire way or peddle hard to start with and let your speed carry you, saving energy for when you really need it.. up the hills.. Also, watch the videos of the top bikers going down the run, and pay attention to what they are doing.. and learn the coarse as you go.. every bit helps in such a long coarse.. and because its such a long coarse.. it zaps your strength.. which is why you all need to do a whole lot of strengthening and conditioning if you want to be very competitive in this event.. it also helps to get a great start in this race and make it down the snow hills without crashing.. LOL and being out in the very front.. is not always the best strategy either.. I think it helps a lot to sit behind the leader and let him set the pace, making him push it, and hopefully breaking him down with him always worried about you being right on his tail.. and it also helps having great equipment for this event.. I love this event.. I watch it just about every day..

      But he won the last two Megavalanche races (2018, 2019) of his class. For the last one he seems to have received the recorded winner runs and near-winner runs ... and seems to have trained very well.

    The 1st to finish the race is about 6 minutes faster. Guess the boy needs more growing to catch up, tho growing might not be enough for that much difference i guess. Genes are important after all, you either hit the lottery on that one or you don't. Hard work is also very important ofc, but all the ones at the top put in hard work. People like those generally hit the wall at some point as growth isn't infinite. What i have noticed is that the endurance is key. Even the guy who came first fell off his bike and lost some time, but later the ones in front of him ran out of gas and he just kept pushing till no one was even near him. He couldn't even see anyone for half the race when he checked his back...

    The finish line was a let down though. You would expect some big, long straightaway with people cheering and all...but no. Just come around the nondesript and unremarkable corner and only have a few people there.
