I get what you're saying, but are they really charging game-day prices for drinks, etc even though nobody is there playing on the field? I did love the cross-brand whatever you want to call it, the other car maker changing their logo for the day or week. I've always wondered how do the naming rights johns ever measure the ROI of the purchase. Do you buy this car maker's pick-ups because of the naming rights deal? Why don't they just put the millions into improving their products and services (I say the same thing about the bank that pays for their name to be on the joint in Queens for the baseball team).
I just hope that things don't turn out the same way they did on January 12, 1992, the last time the Lions got to the NFC Championship Game......5,000 - 6,000 fans showed up to watch the Washington game @ the Silverdome, and we all know the score was a disastrous result, but to make matters worse, when the game ended up getting out of hand, they turned the screens off, and idiots started jumping over the railing and running on the field with security guards in hot pursuit several times......I really felt sorry for those guards (yes, I was there for that whole debacle)......
Detroit needs hope. it has been a long time coming 🙏
This is great. The Detroit Lions marketing team is pulling out all the stops and producing a top notch event with an amazing atmosphere. Well done 👏

The first city that started selling out the home arena while the team was away in the championship game was Detroit in 1989 for the Pistons.
