Insane how Branch fell to them in the second round. I still remember everyone hating the Campbell pick but it was one of their biggest needs on defense. Even a lot of people hated the Gibbs pick at 12 but look how incredible he was tonight. LaPorta as well. What an incredible job by the Lions front office

I grew up watching and loving the Steelers and I'm still a huge Steelers fan. However, for the last year and a half, I can't help buy root for the Lions. Dan Campbell and their Owner has completely turned the Lions around. 2 seasons ago, they didn't win their first game until the 11th week. They ended winning 3 games that season. Last season, they started off with a 1 and 6 record. They were very close to winning in all of those games. Nonetheless, they were 1-6. The coaches and the players never gave up. They ended have the best winning percentage for the final 10 games as the went 8-2 in the final 10 games. That's why them beating the Chiefs doesn't surprise me. For those who say, "well we didn't have Kelce", wait until Jameson Williams and 4 other key defensive players return

I really like Dan Campbell as a Head Coach he gives me the feeling that he can go from a 3-13-1 season to a Super Bowl contender. Not a Lions fan but I hope they can make there fans proud this season 👍

Rewatching the KC Chiefs season. After watching this game, I remember thinking this was a sign of things to come for KC. My god, did they prove me wrong.

The Lions showed up to play this game with everything they had. This was a playoff level football game. It was phenomenal as is always the case when you have Mahomes in the game whether he wins or loses. Everybody on the field played their hearts out. Great NFL football.
With the amount of falsestarts and holding and drops and bad execution plays, this game absolutely did not feel like a playoff game. Ik you're excited about the lions, but to be real, they didn't play like a playoff team.

We Lions fans have been waiting a long time for a momentum shift like this. We, without a doubt, have the best team we've had in quite a while. I know it's only one game, and it wasn't a pretty win, but this is gonna skyrocket our confidence.
I've unapologetically been about the harshest Lions critic there is (and I'm talking about the organization, not necessarily the players and coaches) but yeah, something has felt different since about the middle of last season. We'll see what happens.

All my life, it's been hard being a hometown lions fan... lots of rough times with some highs but mostly God-awful lows--however, today we celebrate. I was working downtown at the hospital as the game was playing and my patients were going OFF🎉🎉🎉 ngl it was really cool to see some patients forget about what they were going thru from their hospital beds and just be proud Detroiters. We really needed this dub, and many more going forward. Let's Go Lions!

Hutch was a monster this game, even with Taylor not being called for lining up improperly, holding, and false starting nearly the entire game. Lots of pressure. More is needed! Much improved defense by the looks of it.
Height of the lineman comes into account. The official that was announcing the game (for me at least) was saying that his head has to lineup with the centers chest. And as far as I know he was. He did get called I think once for a false start because he mistimed the hell out of the snap 😂
Edit: I should clarify that the announcers brought in a head official to explain Taylor’s lineups
Taylor’s gonna cost them games because not every crew is gonna be this blind, and he’s predictable. He lines up back if it’s a pass, and close if it’s a run
Nfl tried their hardest to make sure patty wasn’t getting hurt by one of those lineman, there was holding on 50-60% of the plays, false starts on 100% of them🤣

That second drive with the “fake punt” on the Detroit Lions 🦁 own 18-yard line is totally a Dan Campbell move. I love it. Dan Campbell is a great NFL head coach and will one day be an NFL Coach of the Year.

As a diehard lifetime Lions fan, this is what I have been holding my breath and waiting for. I believe this whole organization from top to bottom finally has things coming together all at once and we all believe in one another, from the fans to the ownership!
This was far from a perfect game on both sides, but still a very good, enjoyable game. Both teams made plenty of key mistakes (I question so many times on 3rd-and-short opting to pass when our run game was clearly pretty successful, and of course all the key drops made by KC receivers), but I think finally the nation is looking at the Lions and saying, "well, alright, these guys are for real."
