hey! most of the English exams focus on passage analysis, where a few different passages from different texts studied are given and u need to analyse them. there usually is an essay / paragraph portion at the end of the exam, but professors are considerate of the time constraints and they know we can't write anything as long or as put together as an essay we'd have more time on to hand in (like a regular essay assignment). so basically, the entire exam isn't an essay, but sometimes there is an essay component. hope that helps :)

Hey, I had a quick question, On average how many hours a day do you send studying or doing school.

Hey! I'd say it varies from day to day, but if I had to give an average number I'd say anywhere between 5-12 hours a day. This is for the standard load of 5 courses (2.5 credits) per term. This includes lectures, tutorials, and overall studying/homework/essays/readings as well. It depends on how many classes I have in one day AND if midterms are coming up and all of that. Hope that helps :)
