Another big thumbs up for Joey, for preparing the betta tank's for their final home. The Queen's Cove.
They are absolutely diamonds, industrial diamonds are very cheap, and the value of gem grade diamonds is extremely inflated
I've watched your old videos before drilling my tank. It was a 0.5" glass, took forever but had a perfect result haha. There is also a range of measurements you can go for different size of bulkheads. What I mean is the same hole can fit 1-1/2" or 1" bulkheads. Quite easy to find on google if someone needs it
Those were a lot of good little tips. Thank you!!
Those tips are amazing!
Also, if you're worried about glass dust falling into the water, you put a folded post-it on the inside of the tank bellow the hole you're drilling, it will catch any debris that falls down.
Always King of DIY
Diamonds, especially industrial ones like those used to tip drills, are lab grown. The only thing propping up the price of natural diamonds and the whole luxury diamond industry as a whole is an incredible amount of manipulation in a really messed up market that diamond sellers completely control, which essentially allows them to set their own price. Lab grown and natural diamonds are nearly identical, the only thing stopping them from flooding the market is that for some reason people only like diamonds when they come from poor countries with poor working conditions that exploit workers.
That Piranha tank of yours is WORLD CLASS
I use 2 clamps, a temp plat that helps keep the bit in place, and a flat board on the other side. I also use a spray bottle to spray the bit and glass at the same time.
Thank you for the lesson. This answered all my questions.
Adding a sponge to the inside of the hole saw can keep water on the cut and tank for cooling
Off topic do you know how Rachel O'leary is doing. I don't see your post anything in a long, long time. I know she was sick.
.
Shes fine! I spoke with her the other day actually. She will be at my wedding in may
@@thekingofdiy ok 👍 thanks for sharing.
Pfoaa, thank you so much for everything in all those years
That was explained so well that even I could do it. And trust me I cannot do shit. Where are you when I need help with like serious plumbing or fixing something in the house ha ha ha ha ha ha you have great communication skills if anybody has never told 😊you that.😊
Depends on what make the bit is most are man made diamonds the high end ones have real diamonds. I used diamond wire everyday at work. You can tell the difference in the two if used at the same time
C'mon Joey! Canada is the largest exporter of industrial diamonds Bruh! Diamond to or carbon tipped drill bits, are in fact diamonds. Just not jewelry quality. Generally they're very cloudy and discolored, but very hard, which is why glass and mason bits have em on it. Also, tile saw blades and alike. Amazon has a glass drill set with a jig. I've drilled mine on the side and use a bottle with an extention tube to drop water on the bit while drilling. They also have bulk heads in many sizes (¼ inch up to 5 inch) pretty cheap.
Why not add the o-ring gasket to both sides instead of just the water side? Wont have it on both sides give it a better seal? 13:08
I’ve used a drill for ten years and never new what the dial was for
Hey Joey, I cut a sponge and put it inside the drill and wet it so it constantly cools it
Your the best
I’d be afraid some of the glass shavings that inevitably got in the tank would hurt the fish.
don't forget diamons are not worth that much, the make them worth that much and we can make diamons on the lab's and the look the same as the ones found .
id rather have my birthstone than a diamond tbh
Seus aquários são expirações para mim. Obter os meus aquários. Muito organizado.
The diamond drill bits do have diamonds. They are industrial grade diamonds. They would be worthless for jewelry making. They are used in all sorts of tools.
Thanks for this. However, I want to build a small PVC pipe frame so I can push air through the sponge filters in my 10 betta tanks. TIA
4:55 why do you choose a bulk head vs a uni seal?
Uniseal has its uses. PLumbing a glass tank or any tank, is not one of them. However, i have used them in the past to connect barrels. Bulkheads are simply more reliable and longer lasting.
I drill my tanks with lowering the water level also. Dampens vibration
I don't know if this will help. The electrical knockout size is 3/8" larger than the fitting size.
DANNGGG, I REALLY THOUGHT YOU WERE ABOUT TO SHOW HOW TO DRILL A TEMPERED GLASS AQUARIUM WITHOUT IT SHATTERING😂
Hey Joey. I have a 20gal tank with 2 Silver Dollars. 1 seems to be bullying the other. I'm wondering if I add 1 or 2 more would that take the pressure off or would that just cause more aggression??
Would it be a good idea to have a rubber gasket on both sides of the glass?
No, couldn’t tell you the science but I have tried it myself and it’s much harder to get the bulkhead to deal with a gasket on both sides.
I’m too scared to drill my 75 reef tank lol I bought a siphon overflow and that’s been working fine for now but they aren’t cheap
What kind of tanks are thos?
3 gallon. got em on amazon

Hello.
Please leave the caption available. I don't speak English and subtitles would help a lot.
Thanks.
👍
They are diamonds. Diamonds (especially super small ones) are very common. The only reason they cost a lot in jewelry is- the inherent scam of the diamond market.
great video
Hello King
Please make a diy video of how to de-worm huge large discus tank! And is it really necessary to de-worm discus fish?
Just When I Thought I Was Out, You Pull Me Back In
why not have one or two big aquariums with nanofish ecosystems so the fishes would feel and behave like they would out in nature
New merch?
Can you put an aquarium in the Kallax unit?
Look like you about to do a drip systems.
Oh! Commenting before I am even 2 minutes in as I just asked my husband about cutting a tank lid for me and the first thing he asked was "Is the glass tempered?" 😳 I was not aware that was something to worry about when cutting it. Awesome timing for this!! 😁👀🍿🍿🍿
Parts list and links to find them please!
Next twitch sir?
