Thanks for showing me how to adjust the rod length. I knew it could be done.

Should have zoomed in to show what you were doing with the mechanisms.

Love how woodcraft didn’t even include the tenon portion in the instructions for the kit. If you follow the instructions you’d end up chopping the cap piece down to 2” as there isn’t a single mention of this part of the process unless you find this video. And the pre drilled blank was not bored out to 1.5” like the instructions list as the first step. Lots of details not adding up!

Is there any chance you can provide the template? I'm not very good on drawing them

You didn't show how you drilled it out. That's my difficult part. Thank you Chris Carter

He used our pre-drilled blanks so he didn't have to drill it out. However, I've done others with a jacobs chuck and forstner bit on the lathe.

This video is specifically how to spend all your money at Woodcraft and really substandard for how to actually make a pepper mill. Look for others. Predrilled blanks, rubber jamb chucks, every turning tool in the world…

could've been more detailed about which tool you used when and what speeds you were turning at

Maybe just me but if this was a sponsored educational video, Woodcraft sure missed the mark! You’re assuming people watching are as good at turning as he is. He rushed through so many details or simply skipped over them! Disappointing! The Crush Grinder video from Craft Supply is so much better!

Video should be at more angles. It was very hard to see what you were actually doing. This is not a beginner project, however, if you spend all the extra $ for the Woodcraft pre-drill and cut blank and bushing (that are not necessary), you have a shot. The video also breezes through the more challenging parts. Setting the screws in the mechanism is not that easy. At the proper skill level to do this project, you should know how to apply finish and have favorites finishes. Your just selling product for Woodcraft.

This music isn't bad, but it sucks. I'd rather just listen to the mill.

Lose music, annoying, need better close ups. More selling video then educational.
