This was the first fanvid of something that I ever watch and I feel so nostalgic about everything in it. The bad clip quality, format, the fact that Potter was very much unfinished, experiencing my first celebrity crush, finding out that there were in fact other people that had the same interests as me, discovering the Snapecast, not understanding a word until I started learning English properly... Such a huge part of my childhood and it shaped my interests so thoroughly, that I have now become an English major, returned to reading after a bad mental health issue, finally committed to being myself and realizing that I should have found the strength to free me of my shackles earlier. And if everything should fall apart in life I can always come home. Thank you for sharing and starting my fandom journey so many years ago.
OMG I just LOVE how short Snape is clapping his hands at 1:33. This is just SO Snape. Thanks for this video, it's awesome and so funny. Alan Rickman is love (they did a great job at the casting!).

Snape just can't smile in a real way. He is too embittered, his soul too wounded, to show such a buoyant and positive expression. The only time when he could show a glance of a smirk is positively as he looks one last time in Lily's/Harry's eyes the moment before he dies. Maybe not even then...

Rowling based his character on Slope from Barchester Chronicles - also played by lovely Alan Rickman. Before that first film came out, while reading Philosophers Stone I pictured him as Snape! In fact all of the casting in that film was superb. -Really the best casting I've ever come across.
