I would love to find a budget friendly Arc Haul type pack. Non-ventilated packs cause a rash on my back from the sweat - even during cool weather. I've picked up a couple external frame packs hoping to replace the fabric portion with lighter weight rolltop bags if the frames provide adequate ventilation. Free from craigslist and FB marketplace - but I haven't had the opportunity to try them out yet.

@BackpackingandBlisters Yeah there really aren't any other UL trampoline packs that I can think of. It was between the Zpacks and the Durston Kakwa 40 for me and I think the Durston will be slightly more comfortable and it's only a few ounces heavier once you add lots of pockets to the Zpacks. Zpacks is also 100X vs 200X Ultra on the Durston.

@@CombatBanana I'll have to look more at the Durston pack. Good call!

For a framed pack I love my Arc Haul but I am interesed in HTP Raven as the 24/7 will become my UL setup bakcpack now. The 24/7 has exceeded day hike expectations and can handle 20 pounds easily.

I think I’m the only person in the world that doesn’t love the arch haul. It’s good but not great but that’s just me b/c everyone raves about it. I’ll stick with my Flash 55.
