- If you own a Lil' Foot 2 personal compressor you might want to know how to get the most out of it. By "get the most out f it" I mean, Keep it running, trouble free, well past the end of the manufacturer's one year warranty.
In this video we walk through how to set up, test and operate the compressor to fill pre-charged pneumatic airguns using AC and DC power...It's simple.
I also discuss the absolutely critical things you must do to make your compressor last.
1-Always turn the fan on before you start the compressor motor!
2-Don't fill for more than 20 minutes at a time. Heat builds up over time, and it kills electronic components.
3-Add a couple drops of pure silicone oil (included) during every fill.
4-Depressurize the system before you start the compressor motor. DO NOT start your compressor with compressed air in the line.
Re-read #2 and 4. Learn it, Live it, Love it.
The Lil' Foot 2.0 is a sturdy and capable compressor. I've torture tested these units past what I'm willing to publicly admit without a disclaimer to "not try this while someone else is holding your beer." I know where the failure points are. If you follow my recommendations there is no reason that your compressor shouldn't last well beyond the end of the warranty period, and you might not even need to use the rebuild kit!
There are other personal compressors on the market that look and function similarly to the Lil' Foot. Feel free to watch, and if I can help your compressor live a longer, trouble free life.

Great video... im looking at a Lil Foot 2.0, and glad i took tge time to watch this video to its conclusion.
Might i suggest one small deviation for anyone hooking up anything to a car battery. Positive to Positive 👍, Negative to a ground NOT the negative terminal. Ive seen firsthand a battery blow from a small spark at the terminals(lead acid). Hydrogen gas is highly explosive when confined & sulfuric acid isnt alot of fun being bathed in(at the least) Its just a suggestion though.
Had a friend have that happen to him as well. I've taught my son, daughter and grandson the way to do it as well. Now they are better mechanics than me geez. Thanks for bringing that up. Not everyone now's that!

Thanks PJ... mine is on its way to southern California. Im sure i wont run out of air. I do use a small bottle. But this the way to go. Easy to understand..i do have other home compressors 😂

in the features for this compressor it says " Will not fill a scuba tank" couldn't you just run the 20 min duty cycle several times to hit desired tank pressure like you did on the 2 bottle gun?
There's a point where, between pressure and volume, where you'll be cycling endlessly making very little headway. It will void your warranty.
Stupid question….what’s the difference between bar and psi
It’s two different measures of pressure. Like liters and gallons. Some companies reference psi and some bar. They aren’t equal but they do the same thing. 250 bar is about 3625 psi.
Maybe a problem with it ? Seemed to take forever with the dead head in. Should have filled to that pressure in under 20-25 seconds
I think the series you are commenting on was slowed for effect. At the low 100’s?
A cheaper version of a Air Venturi Nomad II
It's not the same internally. The Nomad II is a quality unit, but not the same.
