I'm a Moslem girl. I've been listening to a lot of rock music since I was a kid. And now to know that a band with these three amazing girls from my country, has put out such amazing works, makes me so excited, amazed, inspired. This is so representative of who I am. Thank you guys for reacting so well.
Yes they are true REBELS since they were 14 y.o where they started to fall into music and being metal head soon after. They were rebels for their school system, for social system in their 'rural village, for unfair gender discrimination, for some un-rulled moral ethics, for anything they think isn't right.. that makes us love them and their thoughts besides of course their music talent. They are just LEGIT!! They happened to be found by their English teacher who acted as a Conselor for rebel kids and taught them to play instruments so they had something to do instead of protesting, being brad and noisy for their school system and school activities.. Now their ex-teacher is still being their best friend and helpful to them on many ways including when writing songs and making decisions, also became their manager in some point before they become too big to handle. One more thing the Band name was also named by the same teacher where "Baceprot" means "Noisy/Talkative" since they spoke up on everything, they protest on everything, they refused to obey things they consider unfair. Now the rebellions become grown up girls with amazing talents speak up so loud via their music to the world.
Take off my hat to... Mr. Erza. He's more than a teacher for this girl,.. deeper he is the "SOUL" for this girl Again, RESPECT & THANK YOU to Mr. Erza for guiding them to the world.
VoB vocalist and guitarist, Firda Marsya Kurnia, hopes that the latest song from her band can educate all parties that women are not public property. Marsya said that their fear of violence against women would get worse in the future, which was the reason for making this song. "In our opinion, what should be encouraged is education as well. Because you can't keep ordering women to dress like this, like that," said Marsya. According to Marsya, education is one of the first ways to prevent violence that often happens to women. Marsya added, the song "[Not] Public Property" is also a vessel for the voices of women who are survivors of sexual violence. Marsya admits that the idea to work on the song was born out of concern and people's response to survivors of sexual violence. The idea actually emerged from two years ago. Composition of music was done from home due to the social restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. "So we feel that in the midst of the victims' trauma and fear, they still often fuss about how they were dressed when the violence occurred, questioning their bodies when the violence occurred. They say the victim contributed to the incident of violence," said Marsya. The three members of VoB feel that their own interests need to be emphasized in songwriting because of their role as Indonesian women.
Rebels with a cause...es. Serious bad-asses, these three young ladies. Love 'em! They actually do a cover of "Sabotage". It's a live video from Jakarta. It's killer. The three of them are basically different in their preferences for musical genres that animate the totality of their music... Widy prefers the funk and grove genres.. Siti prefers metal and hard rock genres... Meanwhile, Marsya is truly inspired by every genre shown by her supervisor, she likes almost all the genres... That's why the musical arrangement is a combination because the three of them will always share the composition...

These girls are fenomenal. They made metal music easier to hear, rebel, very strong musical journey. Like cinderella story. From small village to the world big events. They will perform on Glastonbury and London this June.
VOB is a very talented, courageous young band whose fans include Tom Morello, Slash, and Flea (not too shabby!). They moved from their small village to Jakarta a year or two ago and their situation is much improved. Indonesia apparently has a thriving metal scene and the president of the country is a big metalhead! If memory serves this is the first song they wrote entirely on their own without the assistance of their teacher or manager. They were recently named to the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 List for 2024 so they continue to have a significant impact on music as well as cultural and societal issues.

VOB's are musically infectious. I had those kind of feelings with Grand Funk before. Mark Farner holding the vox and gits. VOB's music revived my interest back into metal with their nice melodic git and bass riffs and catchy tunes. Loving it.
