SCHOOL REVOLUTION - Voice of Baceprot (Lyrics English Translation) In the morning school my body must be running Forced dreams that none of me understand Thrown head forced smart Morally stranded, tempted by frenzy Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Behind the wall, the contents of the head seem to be locked Thousands of dogmas were overwritten until they collapsed If you shout independence, be prepared to be beaten or cursed at And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul fall in the dark side And I lost my life (lose my life) There it is called the most beautiful prison But didn't provide any proof It's just a mess of rules that are never implemented Leaving history that has been forgotten Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Many people just have conflicting perceptions Oppressing each other for reasons of vision and mission Sacrifice a dream that ends up stranded far away It faded and eventually started to fade And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul fell to the dark side And I lost my life (lose my life) Only focused people can survive Have a dream and dare to make it happen You can be successful without having to sacrifice your principles Have positive enthusiasm and thoughts Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now Don't try to judge us now And my soul is empty And my dream was dying My soul fell to the dark side And I lost my life (lose my life) Songwriters: Marsya / Widi / Sitti / Ersa Eka Susila Satia (Abah Erza).
Ditto. I find it very hard to get myself to check out for some reason. Push myself to try this since you guys were doing it. Guess I wasn't expecting a female voice when it finally went into the vocals.
Hey Justin and Matt and thanks for more VOB! As producers and musicians I think you're well aware of the age-old dilemma facing musicians: stay true to your vision/sound or compromise to reach more people. VOB was very much a jam band when they first started writing their own songs, almost all were 5-6 minutes long (like this one) and were epic wandering raw journeys. When it came time to record their album, the "producers" got involved and significantly changed half the songs. Ultimately (and awesomely), the band didn't like this, didn't renew their contract with management and went independent. It will be VERY interesting to hear their second album...
I've heard several different versions of School Revolution and they're all. . .different. These young women are so full of musical ideas, they don't just throw something together and leave it alone. As many musical ideas as this version contained, you'll hear more when you hear earlier and later versions. Although they're not playing jazz, it's jazz--like in certain respects. My experience of their music is that is has kinduva two-level modularity to it - they'll assemble a song from a collection of related musical chunks and they'll know which chunks they're going to use in a given performance. But they may add and subtract chunks in different versions of the song. Occasionally, a chunk might get transferred from one song to another. Each chunk has a basic rhythm and tonality, but when they re-use a chunk later in the same song, they'll often play it differently. Although the tunes are recognizable and they don't do extended concerto- or cadenza-style solos like you hear in some bands, they keep each performance fresh in their own, unique Voᗺ way. As you hear more of their stuff, you'll probably have something more intelligent to say about it than what I just said. I haven't been involved in the composition, performance and production of music the way you guys have. Those are just my ramblings from having listened to a lotta different kindsa music and a lotta Voᗺ performances.
Hey Robert, my impression is that they approach songwriting not from the way it "should" be, but from the way it "could" be! And when you have a very creative bassist, your options are wide open. Did you hear the funk part they put in Rumah at the Dome show?
@@bw1342 I most definitely did. And I saw people say they liked the new version or the old version better. What I like is hearing all the different things that happen in the life of a Voᗺ tune.: - )
Their music is nice to hear. They performed on world big stages recently at Glastonbury, UK, with audience over 150.000. i think it's promising for them to be world band
That musik back to 1994/95 but now much more core and incridible..the drum so hard and bassis is never stop of course rhytem and lead guitar and as vocal marsya that very nice.and the diferent musik at now.they metal but izzi lestening..very cool..thank gusy for reack

The soul of the song is the Bassline during the chorus before the end of the song, here it proves that Bassist 'Widi VoB' has sharp musical instincts to fill the Bassline even if only for a moment. 🔥❤️🔥

SCHOOL REVOLUTION - Voice of Baceprot
(Lyrics English Translation)
In the morning school my body must be running
Forced dreams that none of me understand
Thrown head forced smart
Morally stranded, tempted by frenzy
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Behind the wall, the contents of the head seem to be locked
Thousands of dogmas were overwritten until they collapsed
If you shout independence, be prepared to be beaten or cursed at
And my soul is empty
And my dream was dying
My soul fall in the dark side
And I lost my life (lose my life)
There it is called the most beautiful prison
But didn't provide any proof
It's just a mess of rules that are never implemented
Leaving history that has been forgotten
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Many people just have conflicting perceptions
Oppressing each other for reasons of vision and mission
Sacrifice a dream that ends up stranded far away
It faded and eventually started to fade
And my soul is empty
And my dream was dying
My soul fell to the dark side
And I lost my life (lose my life)
Only focused people can survive
Have a dream and dare to make it happen
You can be successful without having to sacrifice your principles
Have positive enthusiasm and thoughts
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
Don't try to judge us now
And my soul is empty
And my dream was dying
My soul fell to the dark side
And I lost my life (lose my life)

approximate lyrics
Early morning & I am running Chasing dreams that I find perplexing
Banging my head - wish I am smarter
All these voices screaming “guard your morals”
Don’t try to judge us now 4x
Within these walls, my head is bombarded With a billion dogmas
till I bent over backward
if you scream back - expect insults and condemnation …
and my soul is empty.
And my dream was dying
My soul fall in the dark side
And I lose my life (lose my life)
They show me my beautiful future prison
With no proof or evidence
Just a bunch of rules that no one followed
A history long forgotten
Don’t try to judge us now 4x
Everyone just wants to impose their perceptions on me
Oppressing each other with missions & visions
Do I have to sacrifice my own dreams by the wayside?
Will My dreams wane and soon will fade? …
and my soul is empty.
And my dream was dying
My soul fall in the dark side
And I lose my life (lose my life)
Only by pure focus and concentration
Can you pursue your own dreams
Achieve success without sacrificing your principles
Be strong-willed and think positively
Don’t try to judge us now 4x …
and my soul is empty.
And my dream was dying
My soul fall in the dark side
And I lose my life (lose my life)-
