Thanks for posting this video. What I really like is we can see as you try different exposures and different filters to get the effect you want. In other videos the photographer immediately knows how long to expose a shot, which filter to use, etc. In real life it's trail and error, an experiment and learning experience. It give confidence to us mere mortals who can't go out, take 10 shots and they're all award winning shots. Thanks.
Video made without over editing, shows some of the problems faced by all photographers, no matter what their standard, nice relaxed style with realistic expectations and results, thank you.
agree, good video. You show steps, explain what you are doing. very useful, I like how you seem to be filming as you actually do it, changing filters etc not perfect every time so it seems real not rehearsed and fake. keep it up thanks mark.
Video was awesome. The live shots through the 1DX looks pretty typical with heaps of black dots from crap on the sensor. I sold mine and moved to Nikon as Canon in Australia won't take ownership of the problem. Lee is definitely the way to go in my experience, their optical quality is amazing.
Thank you so much for your great video. One question please. I'm using Canon 24-70mm f2.8 diameter 82mm and 16-35 f4 diameter 77mm. I wonder which filter size is suitable for those lens to eliminate vignetting. Thank you so much.
nice and informative video, thanks enjoyed watching it.Im stuck with a sunny days at the moment and the poloriser filter gives me an extra time, You shoud have use it in this video. Thanks again.
You should try out the Haida filters (both 10 and 6 stop square 100x100mm) - you will be amazed by the quality and the colour cast is virtually nonexistent! You should try a side by side comparison
Hello! I switched from the Nikon D610 to the Fuji XT-2. Will you recommend the Seven5 or the 100mm system? I know there is some vignetting with the fuji 10-24mm below 11mm or 14mm with a polarizer but I like the small size of the seven5 system. Is there any compromise with going with a smaller system? Thanks!
Hi I just got big stopper, one question I am using f16-22 iso100 is there any way I can get a lot slower shutter speeds then what i am getting around 1/60 or faster without big stopper about 17 secs with Can I use exposure compensation Ideally I would like to use f8 Btw I am using Nikon d7200 18-105 lense Thank you
Daemonforce Gaming In bright light you cannot, that's why you have to use neutral density filters to cut the light. If it's bright and you go with lowest iso, close down completely aperture to f22 or so, depending on the lens, that's it. If correct exposure tells you 1/60 or 1/30, you have to use filters or wait for the sun to go lower. Exposure compensation is only to overrule camera settings if you in auto or semi auto modes. With big stopper when your shutter speed is around 1/30s you can go to around 30s or one minute.
It's Gitzo one, but I honestly do not remember exact model. I love it though, light weight, carbon fibre and I use it with different heads... from Manfrotto most of the time
Clean your sensor, how annoying is that!? Also, try moving your glasses away from the microphone, it sounds like shit when they keep bumping the mic. Your video makes it sounds like you need some more practice with filters. Maybe try the med grad instead. Booyah!
Please lose the 'thriller movie' music, it's very distracting and sooooooo not relevant to a photography tutorial, it's put me right off continuing on with this video
load of crap,,,, heres what you do,,,, set you f stop to f8,,, iso 100 -200,,, set your color temp to 10 k if your cam can do that this will neutralize that blue tint and warm up the end result,,, you can focus your camera using live view with the filter in place,,,,if you wish,, do turn off AF and IS.. finally,,, take the shot,,, and trust me it dont matter how long your exposing say over a minute or more it will come out perfect...i also combine the little and big stopper on the same holder.....one the front and one at the back, it does not matter which is positioned where ,,it all works for me,,, and the bonus is no need for any post,,,,,,,,enjoy folks....
+Mike Hunt .. I bet you never held a camera in your hands , and you never seen any kind of filters since the moment your mama delivered you. for Gods sake keep your advises to idiot people like you.
Nice, Mike! I like the combination of the little and big, to creat a super stopper instead of buying it! With regard to WB, is there a way to kid of 'fix' an AWB? So, say the camer AWBs say 8K is there anything on the camera to tell me that's what the AWB is set to?

I agree this has to be one of the most helpful videos I've seen on youtube.
Dziekuje Panie Jerzy ,Bardzo interesujace informacie
Found your video by chance. You did an excellent job in comparing the two filters.
+George McLaughlin thanks George... by the way Jerzy is George in English :)
I love the image of the Boat has that slight movement adds a little extra to the image!!

I'm just starting with filters and waiting for the arrival of my Seven5 system. Great video. Following your guidance, I believe I can do it. Thanks.
great video, that amount of Lee filters is worth a small fortune :)
+Outdoor Pat well, all camera gear can be expensive :(
Great Video Jerzy!
Great video looking forward to getting my big stopper
Love the intro! :) Just got my first 10 stop ND filter made by Haida.

great tutorial Jerzy !
Awesome vid!! I need to pick up a little stopper

Lars L perhaps one day I will try. I just have not come across Haida here in Austria
You need a polariser on there too, dude! Nice tip about ISO 50!
Nice video, very informative, I think I will get both , thank you
Check out the Lee filters video instead. Oh and as not windy on day you did video has the wind not blown since that day then for something better?
Great work thanks 🙏

Thanks a lot!!!
how to set it? the Stopper first or the graduated first? thanks.
You could have took photos out on a yacht. Any thing is possible for creative photography.
What remote do you use?

many thanks for your help much appreciated loving the videos btw :)
I'd like to know which lee filter system do you use with your 16-35mm? is it the 100mm?
Christian Kraus yes, it is 100mm.
Jerzy Biń with an 82mm wideangle adapter? 'cause i can't see any vignetting
Christian Kraus yes 82mm, and there is no vignette at 16mm. This holder has 3 slots.
What Tripod do you use ?
For me it is definietly GITZO,an older model but is't GITZO...
It's Gitzo one, but I honestly do not remember exact model. I love it though, light weight, carbon fibre and I use it with different heads... from Manfrotto most of the time
On that 10 stop there's a wicked dark band on the left. And you're treating the monitor not the patient.
Andrew Jackson Hello Andrew, can you please tell me exactly to which moment you refer to?
NISI came out with new technology that tremendously reduces the blue cast. I have lots of filters from NISI and i threw away my LEE filters.
Camom, 5 minutes of video just choosing grad filters!!
Why make the film if the weather is not what you want it to be, makes no sense!
Clean your sensor, how annoying is that!? Also, try moving your glasses away from the microphone, it sounds like shit when they keep bumping the mic. Your video makes it sounds like you need some more practice with filters. Maybe try the med grad instead. Booyah!
What a polite man you are... 👏

Thanks Mike, I appreciate this comment. You wrote what you think with some details, and not like - "this is crap".
Notice his channel has zip. I love all the critics that have nothing to show. Good job Jerzy!

You cannot see anything on your live view!!! I just went to test it!
A full minute before the start of the subject content, way too long intro!
Sorry your reply was TLDR ;)
