Thank you so much for this video. Bumpers have always been such an unbelievable nightmare for me. I got it on in 3 minutes using your method. You rule dude.

amazing thanks... first time - pro staff rf97 and popped out without plyers or cutting grommets, skipped part of video and would say all in all under 7/8 minutes - one side i didn't even have to use the owl by using levereage on the table.. thanks dude.

This is helpful! Thanks for the vedio, but i have also a question,like..will it also be easy installing the bumper guard while stringing ,but just for a purpose of installing that bumber guard easily?

I was taught to add a pound or 2 for the first string job after installing new grommets. Not sure if it really matters much

In our experience we haven't noticed needing to do that, but I could see where that would be a reccomendation,... just something we personally don't do at the stores.

What other racket bumper would work for wilson blade 100l v7? Cant find one in my country

Unfortunately, bumper guards are VERY specific. More then likely there won't be anything else that will work for your blade other than a bumper guard made specifically for the v7. Sorry :(

Good video Will! How easy is it to get bumper guards/grommets for older frames?

It can be pretty difficult. We find that the manufactures typically make bumper guards for the current gen racquets and the previous gen... maybe if we are lucky 2 generations old but not older than that. Your best bet if you are looking for an old guard would be eBay.

I don’t know 100% for sure but I HIGHLY doubt it will. Lately they change the guards ever so slightly where it won’t work… it might look identical but the grommets can be off ever so slightly to make the whole guard not work/fit :(

I broke a racquet trying to install my last bumper guard. This is why I am not a mechanic.
