    I strung mine up with 18g Hyper G @52 and I can get plenty of spin on the ball, but I prefer to hit though the ball more these days. My game has evolved as I’ve gotten older, and I’m just not as quick as I used to be. There’s a lot of benefits to hitting flat and deep and keeping the point short. I feel like this racket has helped me do that.

    I haven't strung with Natural Gut in a while, but have a few customers / friends who want to try it, so thanks for the tips! Also, curious....your thoughts, whenever you get to this, on the Nat Gut in the Mains? and Poly Crosses? Pretty sure I read that's how Fed sets his up and was just curious to why? Poly in the Mains is all I've ever done for people and myself, until I went to the full bed of Poly. Could be something to try for sure. Thanks again.

    Doesn’t really have a low launch angle. If you notice the string spacing on the mains they’re uniform and quite open, especially for an 18. Actually plays more like a moderate 16. Line it up next to something like the gravity… Top racket though!

    Is there such a thing as a grip smaller than 4.25? I have really tiny hands and find that 4.25 is even a little difficult to get control. I'd rather not go to a junior size if I can avoid it. Thx!

    Great review! Totally agree with your description. Took this one for a demo two weeks ago and you are absolutely right about the laser like ball flight. I was surprised by some shots that I thought for sure were going to clang off the net tape that went just barely over instead. Love the control. My ohb felt like the harder I swung the better the shot. I have never hit better volleys with any other racquet--they effortlessly went where I wanted them to go. Serves and overheads were also very controllable. Ordered one today and if it holds up in match play, I'll be buying a second very soon. Love my eZone 98 and hated the VCore Pro 100, but this one is something different entirely and looks like it may push the eZones out of the bag.

    How does it compare to new gravity pro

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis Год назад

      I think it feels a bit more firm and the Gravity Pro can still provide you with more spin. Neither racket is a spin monster or that easy to use but in the right hands, both are a real weapon! The Percept 100 D was one of the lowest launch angle rackets I've ever tried, personally. But I've tried many. The Pure Strike 18x20 is also one of them.

  • @JohnSmith-pb4ri
    @JohnSmith-pb4ri Год назад

    Been playing for about 15 months now. I absolutely love this racket. It makes tennis fun to play. It gives a lot of spin, control and comfort. I like to swing away so I don't really want an overly powerful racket. I've tried enough rackets to get an idea of what I like and this checks almost every box.

    • @ZeroLoveTennis
      @ZeroLoveTennis Год назад

      That's great! Just checking in from my channel to see what people are saying. It's a very well rounded racket and I love the idea of control being so accessible.

    I have read differing opinions on gut / poly hybrids and the string tension differential. If you put the natural gut in the MAINS and poly in the crosses, how much lower in tension would you recommend stringing the poly crosses for optimal performance and snap-back? Same with 16x19 and 19x20 patterns?

      I don’t know 100% for sure but I HIGHLY doubt it will. Lately they change the guards ever so slightly where it won’t work… it might look identical but the grommets can be off ever so slightly to make the whole guard not work/fit :(
