    Ok for quick fix. But covering over old rust is never a good idea.
    Replace the rear chassis on this example would be better .

      Hi - yes the rear half chassis is now available but was not widely available at the time we launched this kit.

    That chassis is totally gubbed. To be honest, by the time you faff around trying to weld these plates to cover up a very weak, rusty, crumbling chassis you could have fitted a new rear chassis section much quicker. Far safer and long lasting too.

    I have this issue with mine. No way am I welding onto the current steel. This should be illegal

      It is a weakness of the car - welding is not ideal but it is a shame Land Rover did not make the chassis more corrosion resistant
