I taught my youngest granddaughter to sew on notebook paper without thread, she was a natural, she made some bibs, & used my longarm to quilt her sisters quilt, etc... Then said I don't know if I'll ever sew again. I wanted to cry, so much talent.... LOL
What a fun time together. I’ve learned to make any new with fabric that I like but not my favorite fabric just to make sure know what I’m doing and then I’ll make it again after taking notes for myself that I understand. I use starch every time I want to use my fabric before cutting so it’s nice and pressed and the cuts come out so nice and they look like precuts without the pinking edges like bought precuts. What a great idea Nancy on the sheet metal under your sewing mat and use magnets to hold fabric. I’ve been using a small kettle bell to hold my ruler like Jordan from Jordan Fabrics. Sorry you weren’t feeling good when you were sewing Nancy. Hope you’re feeling better.
I enjoyed watching you and Nancy sew. I know you love embroidering, you really really need to give in the hoop at try. Parker on the Porch has a bunch of in the hoop bags and a lot of videos to help you with them.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Thx for your quick reply! Could you tell me any names that have actually delivered the quilts? I have one supplier I use, but I would like to have a back up plan. And I’ve been talking with 2 others, but one seems really sketchy - I can explain why, but I think I may run out of room with this message right now, and the other one takes a few days to reply whenever I leave a message and a different person gets back to me every time with partial answers. :-(
I guess it depends on the type of water you have. I put water in mine but I do have a water softener in the house. So far my iron is still working great. Have it for a couple of years now.
I enjoyed watching the sisters sew. Very nice watching you two.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I totally agree that Nancy idea of using a sheet metal and magnets to hold the fabric is totally awesome! I had so much fun sewing my little sister!

I found zipper pulls on Temu.
I will have to check them out. I love their prices.
I think that rather than risk your iron just leave it dry and use a spray bottle

I drive/ sew fast and barefoot. I can’t sew with shoes on 😂
