I enjoy this as it has an English flavor, plus you can have your sim fix British Foods. Scones, meat pies and if you go to the pub you can get Bangers and Mash. My late grandmother would have loved it. However Sims over looked Tea. It would have been nice to teach your Sim to make a cup of Rosie. Still it’s fun and I enjoy it.
Been binging your videos the last few days, as your tips are so useful and you don't waffle. Thank you for making good and enjoyable videos. Also I have a small tip to add about Henford-On-Bagley :- if you're looking for a rabbit stump or bird tree and can't remember where they are you can check the world map (eg by hitting 'm'), as they're all marked on it.
I'm gonna get this expansion soon (when I've finished my uni coursework I'm treating myself) and I love occults so I'm gonna make a mermaid family who are native to henford on baguely and live in the bramblewood. I love that there's more swimmable worlds now because it means I can play mermaids more easily outside of sulani
I have been trying to learn how to get food for my characters and I have had no luck at all. I have tried several times to figure out where😊 the store is. I have watched other, RUclips videos to talk about how to get food and none of them have helped me. Yours was the only one that I found good at all😊😊
this is helpful thank you! is it just me or the world blends so seamlessly that it's harder to see anything. I don't even know where any lot ends. foraging is a challenge since all the bushes looks like harvestables😂
So... After watching many videos concerning Cottage Living, I finally bought the game. I did a short play to get used to things, then started a more serious gameplay a couple of days ago. I was shocked to find a feature no one has talked about (at least no one that I watch). It might have been mentioned during a Sims Session by the developers where they show different features for an hour, but I stopped watching those a while back. I found it easier to wait for folks who review those things to give me the shortened version. Anyway... no one has mentioned that Henford-On-Bagley has an open neighborhood. Sort of. I haven't explored this in depth because as a player/builder, I would rather spend my time petting chickens, growing awesome crops and hugging llamas. What I found was this. I put my latest sim in Cordelia's Secret Cottage way up there at the top of the screen (kudos to the builder of that one - it's actually pretty decent). Anyway... as the game was paused, I panned the camera around to admire the view. Absolutely beautiful! There's even a fishing spot right there! As I was looking at that fishing spot, I noticed a trail leading off to the left. So I followed it with my camera. It went quite a-ways and soon I found an area that looked familiar. Sure enough, I was at the ruins and then the critter fella's place. Holy Crap! Could my sim actually go all the way from his place to the ruins? I clicked on a spot and did a "Go Here" command. I expected to see the "I can't get there from here, you idiot," hand wave that sims usually do. But nope. He started running. Holy Crap! But it was going to take him forever. So I gave him a bicycle and did it again. Oh My Stars and Garters! I finally have a reason to buy my sims bicycles to ride. He coasted a lot of the way because it was downhill, but by golly... he got there! This is the first time any of my sims have gone from one clickable square to another without a loading screen!!! Why isn't anyone talking about this???
Wow! Thanks so very much. I am happily playing my game, wondering were to find more mushrooms and listening to your video. Wait, what!?!?!?! There is a park located just over the bridge with harvestables? Cool. I send my sim over to collect some lovely mushrooms. Thank you!
I’m so obsessed with this new expansion! Keep the videos coming please 😍 also I’m totally imagining that the girl sim in this video is me haha loving my dream life ❤️
I've been watching the other simtuber channels for cottage living content as well. And so far, I'm not sure if any of them mastered the weekend fairs and got blue ribbons for all of them. I wonder if you could figure this out and win blue ribbons in all the festivals in Finchwick. It might take you some time to play through it with trial and error, but that's fine becausd it would make a great video since its you. I think you can figure it out because you also got ahead of the fame system and other gameplay systems of the other packs. I don't have cottage living yet so I live vicariously through simtubers. But I think yours is the best and easiest advice and tips to follow.
Apparently it is a RNG - so you can loose with most rare/highest quality either way, as far as I've tested myself there is NO clear way to win a fair. (Even bribing or getting high friendship with the mayor and getting judges into a good mood doesn't work 100%, though it seems to help for me to at least not get participation trophies with my excellent gold wool etc 😅)
Still holding out hope someone will make a mod that lets you assign the village roles to anyone you like. Since the developers apparently think it's a great idea to create a premade pub owner family and have her immediately lose the role if you play her household. It's just... it's so *stupid.* 😂
Idea for another video: how can one make friends with the wild birds and rabbits quickly? It takes soooo long to make friends with them, it seems. Maybe I’m just having a tough time.
gifts are the quickest way, socialisation is a sort of bonus to keep the relationship up but it takes forever by itself. I haven't experimented much with birds, but each rabbit has its own favourite gift, once have given a couple of gifts you will see a thumbs up or thumbs down next to different categories e.g. books, flowers, produce, canned goods and if you give the right gift one of the categories will have a heart next to it to indicate this is the best, but I don't think the difference between like and love is enough to make a real difference.
Thank you so much accioxheart! :). I do plan to go over snowy escape lifestyles eventually! It's just a very involved video that requires a lot of play testing and time so I've been putting it off. But it's on the list and I should get around to it eventually!
Just to let you know Sims 4. Your gallery in internet is down. Is it another bug. Like The Sims that can't put your children down. The Sims 4 on the console is a mess. Do try to fix it. Without more bugs.
Yea i can’t figure it out I’m signed in and It lets me use it for a few seconds then it doesn’t work and it annoyingly says the internet notification and I have to test my perfectly fine internet which is only temporarily
In UK and Ireland it's said that a ring of mushrooms is a fairy circle that the fairies dance in at night ☺️
Omg I should make that, my sim is a spellcaster after all
I had a Sim with high level singing skill sing to the birds - it was straight up magical.
Oh wow, I need to go create a Disney princess sim immediately now.
When i saw the sing feature when testing out the features i put level 10 singing sim right away it was amazing
sims can also sings to foxes to befriend them
the amount of effort & editing you put in these videos for us is crazy! you deserve all the love & subscribers you’ve been getting ❤️❤️
His subs and views are going up, which is a nice thing to see since he definitely deserves it.
Thank you so much for the kind words saint! And it's really nice to know the effort into the videos doesn't go unnoticed :D ❤️❤️

my delusional Irish ass is aware it’s not exactly based off Ireland, but for me it’s the closest we’ll likely get! :)
I'm very bummed that this expansion doesn't have a secret lot or something like the Sylvan Glade. it would suit the concept so much!

Thank you so much for the super kind comment Velvet and for the hot tip too! That's super useful!
01:00 You can buy the flock of birds item and the rabit one as well on a lot with no sims living on it.

Your videos are amazing, because I’m honestly not smart enough to figure this stuff out on my own haha

So Agnes Crumplebottom actually has a house? Damn I almost went mad trying to find where she lives so kudos to you for showing.
Thanks for going over the pack it’s amazing and I can’t wait to explore it!
You're super welcome Deatrice! Have fun exploring :)

Your reviews are very good and feels great to watch. Good job Pete

it's probably a hidden trait like with the strangerville military and scientist

Feed Carots to the rabbits and berries to the birds and you have it! :-)

You can cheat it really easily too, just shift click on the animal and cheat relationships

- The community garden spots will be planted by NPCs over time so do check by
Your videos are amazing. Any chance you’ll go over the snowy escape lifestyles sometime? I combed your channel for a video and couldn’t find one ❤️

I've never seen those mushrooms spawn like that with a bunch. Weird!
try looking beside the gazebo near the ruins! they show up there in my game
