Thank you for passing by… 🙏 The coat starts from around 100 to 120 USD per person. But there are also more expensive ones with less people on a balloon, private ride etc as criteria.
was a great video and very informative. Would you mind telling me what focal length you were using on the R6? I am doing this in November and can't decide what to bring up.
Thank you… 🙏 I only took my RF 24 70 2.8 for the balloon ride. Overall I had 14 35, 24 70, 70 200 and 100 400 with me. Along with 2x and 1.5x tele converter and Samyang XP 14 2.4. I used the 100 400 and the 14 MM 2.4 only in the desert region. It was not that useful for other places. Enjoy your trip to Egypt…
@@AMPhotography Thank you. I am bringing my 14-28mm f/2.8, 24-70mm f/2.8 and a Fuji X100V as a back-up camera. It is a family trip so I don't want to bring too much kit with me. Did you use the 100-400mm a lot?
@@brianmiller921 No. Only in desert for some cases like capturing large sun during sunrise and sunset. Taking some landscape with my wife as objects as it gives excellent compression. But I didn’t use the 100 400 at all in the cities.
Thank you for passing by… 🙏 As we did a private ride it was more expensive. But in general it varies between 100 to 120 USD. After that you can negotiate; but the rates are normally fixed and they could reduce few bucks. The rate also varies a bit between different seasons and providers. That is why the price range.
Thank you for passing by… 🙏 Yes I read that. Unfortunate incident. There is always risk in life unfortunately. Even at home suddenly an earthquake can hit and one can die. That is how life is! Flights crashes, cars crash, houses collapse! So does balloons I guess!
Question: How much did the ride cost? What time did you have to go? Transportation & balloon ride was a package deal? Should I ask my hotel in luxor to make the arrangements?
Thank you for passing by… 🙏 It normally costs around 100 USD. We had to start around 4:30 AM. Yes the transportation for the balloon (hotel to balloon airport transfer) is included in the price. You can ask your hotel or contact the website of the description of the video. At the end the hotel will keep a commission. So if you book directly; you will get bit better price.
My pleasure, I enjoyed your content! I checked out your link, it doesn't list a price. But I figured it was close to 100.00 Any type of booking through a hotel does require extra cost. The allow camera with you in the balloon? Very cold in the morning? We plan to go in the middle of summer. Thanks
@@user-xc4eh4kp9n Camera in Egypt is always a tricky thing. So the rule is no camera as it is an airport. So what I did (which I explained at the end of the video) was that in the airport I didn’t use the camera. Only the mobile phone. I took a very little bag with the camera inside. Then once the balloon went up to the sky. I took the camera out. I had no problems. I am not sure what would have happened if I wanted to use the camera in the airport! Maybe nothing. But didn’t want to take chances after the bad experience in Cairo. Early morning in winter was a bit fresh. Around 12°C. But wouldn’t expect it to be cold in summer. But still it is a very dry place. So better to keep a light hoody kind of stuff. Just in case. You can monitor the weather from few days before travelling and can decide accordingly.
Thank you for passing by… 🙏 So we took a private balloon. Firstly for having time for better photography and secondary to not be with other people in a closed place during COVID. We paid 800 USD for the entire balloon. However; most people go with a larger balloon that would cost under 100 USD per person.
