While this is non-canon, you have to appreciate the fact they took the book away as an escape option. This is kinda death-battle style, so they fought it out till the end. Gotta respect the commitment to it.
@@DellizarSlit Plus I.M.P has the issue of not being able to put the murder drones down permanently, since they regenerate. Stolas might be able to do it but there wasn't any time since the sun was rising.
The Murder Drones retreated because the sun was rising. They were definitely going to fight Stolas if they had time. Also, the Imps 100% can die, whether in Hell or outside of it. Blitzø admitted that regular bullets could kill them.
