- Have you had any of these issues ? I forgot to mention my husband also gets some really shocking videos in his feed - which I can’t mention here but Instagram has gone wild !!!

Instagram is weird I’ve seen accounts of women showing full “v” and not get banned but another creator I know got his account temporarily banned for taking a picture in a robe. I’ve also seen tons of porn bots on RUclips in the last 6 months. It’s crazy.
Everything is becoming TikTok which to me personally I think sucks bc I liked how the platforms were before all of the competition.
PS, yeah there’s no safe place online for kids sadly. The best we can do is monitor their activity 🤷♀️ my son is 13 & even kids gaming platforms aren’t safe bc full grown adults pretend to be kids 😡
Do more commentary on current events/weird stuff/Mum stuff/Neurodivergent stuff. Just honestly enjoy hearing your comments on anything. Would be especially interested on a Neurodivergent specific video. Also CATS x
Instagram and all forms of social media aren’t safe for kids
I tried insta but all I get is the woman competing to be the most beautiful of them all. I found that the content and ads I always got made me feel much more aware of my appearance and how I'm so far from perfect. I'm more a fb fan because it's just local content, friends and family.
Instagram content reminds me of reading my mother's Women's Mags back in the 90s, where it was all the beautiful models and rich pretty people.
I used to like Instagram some what, though has changed for me, it's a lot of videos and some are played in a row and I don't know how to navigate it. It's trying to be tik tok. What comes up in my feed seems like it was chosen by a great Aunt's cousin who doesn't know me, but doesn't like me.

@@snowhitelorine you're welcome. It's not a video where she titles anything about her hair. It's the first video you see her with it in the thumbnail. If I remember correctly, it's the same brand she tried on awhile back that was shampoo in & this is just the actual semi permanent version. I agree it looks great & super healthy.

I seldom use IG anymore but mainly because I'm short on time and would rather spend my time more productively. I'm seldom even on fb anymore too. The time thing is a big one with me, especially since I started a new job three weeks ago that is outside my house (I am LOVING IT, btw!) so my time is limited, and I prefer to listen to/watch podcasts and stuff on YT. I'm no prude by any means, but I'd prefer my social media to be free of "suggestive and/or lewd" content. Give me funny animal vids and cooking recipes. LOVE & BIG HUGS to you, the boys, Hunies, and the kitties!

That is awesome - I am so happy you are enjoying it so much 🎉 I very rarely spend time on social media either … I just watch videos on RUclips in the background whenever I am in the house OR I repeat watch series in HAYU!! Can’t be arsed scrolling these days - who has time for that ?! Especially when it’s all just advertisements 😂 xx
I don't do Tic Toc but enjoy IG on the weekends. Weekdays I love listening / watching RUclips
Anwen, if you aren't making internet searches for these things then I'm sorry ti say, it's got to be coming from your husband. Especially if you guys have iPhone connected to your wifi, you'll get content based on what both of you are searching. And your husband's interests must be beating out yours lol

I don't use Instagram but look at other people's accounts sometimes. Just like hearing your commentary on anything really. What do you think about 'woke' culture? Is it suggested posts or ads? You can snooze suggested posts but only for 30 days at a time, and it will block everything except the pages you are following so it mightstopyoufindingnew people. They will still be there if you keep scrolling past the point where you get the message that you're up to date but at least you can check out the pages you follow without worrying what's coming up next! Xx
I haven't seen any explicit content on Instagram, mine's the same as usual, nothing has changed.
Well I am happy for you !! Not sure what I did to mess with my algorithm - maybe night time me scrolls unconsciously as I am asleep and searches for some crazy SH!t !!! 😂

There is se*ualized content (idk if you can even say these words here omg) on every platform by now. Just think of these ASMR videos sometimes. I don't mind people creating that stuff, just put it on some adult content platform instead of YT or IG.
