I appreciate that mate, thanks. That was the reason I did this vid actually as I couldn't find any other reviews either before I bought mine.
I would say the Fluke 2AC is definitely worth having, especially for someone like you as I've seen the HV stuff you work with.
    Cheers mate

Don't get it wet or drop it they break easy and since Fluke makes these in China the sensitivity varies from tool to tool. I've had 4 of these and each one will detect the presence of electricity from different distances. I had one that the tip would glow 1 foot away from a live power cord and another had to be touching the insulation of the cord to glow.

      exactly!
mine, i have to actually touch the cord to detect presence of hazardous voltage, which leaves me in a bit of a doubt whether sometimes i got close enough to detect voltage..

    Very good review video!
I've actually had a few Fluke Volt detectors now,
The first one I had was a Fluke 1AC-II, but realised the 200-1000V range was no good for 110V equipment, so now I'm using the Fluke LVD1, which has a voltage range of 40-300V which is good for 110V which can sometimes be 55-0-55 for site equipment, and also the built in light makes for less to carry in your pocket, the only downside is the annoying clip on clamp that just gets in the way, but with no other means of clamping it to anything, for example the lip of your pocket or the ridge of your hat, your pretty much stuck with it, but otherwise highly recommended!
Maybe I could do a review video on it if there's not so many about... x]

I hope this help's somebody. I'm a Fluke user and I have been for years. But I like the Klein NCVT-2 better, and for several reasons. sensitivity, range, ruggedness and other features. Try both and see which one you'll end up carrying.

I didn't know that. But in this internet world, he could try online. It really is a hell of tool.
