- I review Innis and Gunn on the PerfectDraft a keg that has only been out for a few months and was a much requested Lager from PerfectDraft owners.
Has this new keg got the top spot in terms of Lager on the perfectdraft?
I also dive into a bag of Crackzel pretzel pieces, honey mustard and Onion flavour!

I first tasted this when I went to Edinburgh and ended up drinking in the brewery pub. Great pint and was delighted to see it added to the PD arsenal.
Nice!
Yeah, it's a quality addition 👍🍻
Another great review and it's nice to get the comparison. It's better out of a bottle, but not as good as on draught. Tried on a visit to Edinburgh and loved it - didn't find the lower ABV lessened my enjoyment at all and makes it a great session beer as you said.
Keep up the supping and munching on our behalf. Cheers
Cheers fella!
Never tried a bottle, but was certainly happy with this put the keg!
Will do chap! 👍🍺
Hi mate, tried this back end of the summer and thought it was a solid pint, I did get a slight hint of lemon and it holds it head well.
That saying I don’t know if I would get it again, I solid as it was it got to be a reserve pick for me.
I know what you mean, there's better on it to be fair.
Hope you've had a top weekend! 👍🍻
Hi Baldy, great review and I've been waiting on this as I've been on the fence since it came out and tested it with borderline apathy. For some reason a lager ive always bypassed in cans (don't know, but packaging for some reason put me off.... Which is stupid as you don't drink the logo) haven't seen it in any pubs I've been to recently so again haven't had the chance to cain a few. Am tempted to try something new (as it's always the same 3 on rotation, except when I let the glasses rule my head and bought the Mikkeller GOT beer, which whilst drinkable was on the lower end of mediocre) however again it comes down to knowingly purchasing something inferior to jupiler, hertog, lowenbrau, haseroder etc at a higher price tag. That said everyone's palete is different so it could be someones dream brew (hell some people thing Carling is the greatest?????). At an 8.5 I may stick this in the next order just to give it a try. Its a steady stream of new kegs at the moment so something to look forward to (Hawkstone etc) and variety is the spice of life (part of the PD journey is the exploration isn't it)?....thanks again for taking the plunge so we don't make a mistake, it's a tough job but someone has to do it 😊.
Once again, cheers fella!
As far as a standard lager goes, it's a good one that's well worth a try. Not quite a Hertog or a Jupiler but close enough. Lowenbrau being a hells is a bit more to my taste (especially the Oktoberfest one) but slightly different ball game.
I have Hawkstone to try next!
Cheers fella! It's a hard job, but i'll keep plugging away! 😉
Have a top weekend chap! 👍🍺
Love your videos mate great job - never fancied this out of a can but will give the keg a go
Cheers!
Well worth a blast from the keg I reckon!
Have a good rest of the weekend! 👍🍺
Ah I just would like the Caribbean rum cask come out on PD, now that's a beer.
Now that would be something 👍🍻
Yes, got the shout out thanks Baldy lol I currently have the Camden Hells, Hawkstone and Romola to try.
Top man!
Took delivery myself of the Hawkstone and Camden Hell's kegs!
Have a top weekend fella! 👍🍺
Great review must give this a try. Just finished the romola keg and every pint I poured from it there was way too much head. Could this have been an over carbonated keg?
Well worth a go fella!
Heard of flat kegs because they're damaged before, but not over carbonated kegs.
If there's a lot of head every time, it's worth checking the pipe because if that gets a kink in it, that can cause it! 👍🍺
Went to the Innis and Gunn pub in Edinburgh yesterday morning, ordered a keg of the belter whilst supping the original 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice! Bet it tasted good straight from the brewery! 👍🍺
@@BigBaldReviews It was really good. Plus the grub there is proper gastro pub stuff. Well worth a visit!
Alright big man had this a month or so ago partial to a can of this. Found it quite sweet and to be honest definitely need to up the ABVs to knock the Stella or spaten
Like the taste, but if they upped the abv would be a belter. Needs an Oktoberfest version! 😉👍🍺
Another good review mate think Inness and gunn is average pint, not offensive so might give this a go at some point. Right off the lagers at the moment, get the vocation life and death ordered bit pricy but what a drink! Recommend 5 degrees on the pro, splash out a bit it’s an absolute beauty it’s my top keg now only downside is the price 😅
Cheers fella
I've got vocation life and death in stock lined up to be reviewed. Was going to do it next but might do the Hawkstone lager which was delivered yesterday!
Have a top weekend chap! 👍🍺
Ye canna beat an Innis & Gunn on the PD, it goes down too well. Great review as always big man
Cheers fella! 👍🍻
Your recommendation of Kronenbourg 1664 was like hearing someone say "Actually, my favourite Godfather was # 3"... but we will forgive old Baldy....even if we don't forget...
🤣🤣🤣
I did hesitate a bit and was tempted to edit it out. But we've all got something we're not proud of! 🤣
Hi mate great review how do u clean your glasses an what do u use to clean them ?
Hi mate, just standard washing up liquid, but do use a brush to get to the bottom and also using piping hot water! Also the water needs to be as hot as possible when rinsing!
Cheers 👍🍺
@@BigBaldReviews cheers mate is it fairy liquid u use or ecover or jus like Tesco brand
And wash your glass a couple of hours before your first pint, stand the glass upside down and prop a tissue under one side of the glass and let it dry naturally. This is obviously for the first pint of the night the rest for me our fine.
Fairy liquid normally, but have used ecover a fair bit as well. Really hot water is what is most important though!
Good point! I stand them upside down on kitchen roll to dry naturally, Drying with a tea-towel doesn't help! 👍🍺
OK, I've tried it!!! On the plus side it taster good quality, refreshing and certainly inoffensive. Itd deffo go down well in 99% settings.... However it struck me as almost trying to ape a high quality German lager (like spaten or lownebrau) and kind of missing the point of what makes those so great. Certainly not bad at all, and if those were out of stock I'd buy. Saying that, with those 2 about (let alone hertog, jupiler, hasseroder) there's really no need to buy. For me it's very much a 2nd tier lager, probably only in that tier tho because of the above being about!
Get your points totally there chap. German lagers do take some beating. Not sure I would buy this again either to be totally honest 👍🍻
You must have heard me saying today! ‘Where’s the next Baldy review’ and here it is!
Heard it loud and clear! 😂👍🍺
You legend!
Can I put a vote in for Hawkstone next?
You certainly can being as it arrived today! 😉👍🍺
@@BigBaldReviews our ESP is linked mate!! 🧠 💡
And I’ve just noticed your teeth! I was thinking have I had to many pints or are BB’s teeth looking like he’s borrowed them off an American. Nope,
they are looking good!! 😀
Big session tomorrow baldy! Got the fellas coming round and got 5 kegs lined up... goose ipa, leffe la legere, Stella unfiltered, becks gold and a spaten. Going to be a messy one
Sounds like a belter of a session chap!
You keeping them nice and chilled for a quick change over?
Take it the invites in the post? 😉👍🍺
Is ur surname Bald👍?
Ha! No, it's not bald. It's just my head that is! 👍🍻
@@BigBaldReviews 😂😂 was just wondering as that’s my surname. 👍
@@baldy3405 ha! Would have been good! 🤣
