I have always thought that monsters is the most new-player friendly faction. Buy a iron judgement keg, get endrega larva card and you've got a fairly good Thrive monster deck
Having quit in homecoming this is exactly what I needed, and came up as the first result when i searched for "gwent guide" Tip: I had to spend some time at first trying to search for "coming back to gwent" "returning to gwent" and nothing good came up there. Potential for your next video to fill that hole Freddy!
Thanks a lot bro, especially the part where you told us how to spend reward points better and what’s best to buy. It’s important for a lot of people (like me) that a CCG doesn’t require too much time or money to grind, that was definitely very important information. Any chance you could make a video talking about “general identities” of each faction, like what’s their schtick and what cards were always good for them and such? I think a lot of people would find that information very helpful
Yes! Thank you. For someone who started playing the game just a few weeks ago this is really helpful. All the other beginners guide on youtube that I found were outdated. Really like your channel, the way you talk, etc. Is really clear to understand for someone with english not as a native language. I find other youtubers with loud music, or other distracting editing hard to follow. Thanks again and best of luck !
hello freddy, i just started installing gwent on steam the first time i saw it on the new release! excited to play this gwent game, and it seems fun! Kapp
So I just found your channel. I played a bit during the initial release but dropped it, decided into get back into it. Just wanted to say you’re videos and guides are very easy to understand and comprehensive. Thank you for all the effort you’ve been putting into them! Oh, and I’m currently crafting up the Kikimore Queen deck you featured recently. I loved the Monster decks back in the day and this one looks like a lot of fun. Cheers!
Good trees early on for getting to the story nodes quickly are: - ST main tree - SK main tree - Crimson Curse main tree - NR main tree (a little longer, but you go through a ton of ore to reach the nodes) - MO main tree - SY main tree (two are right at the beginning, the other two are a little longer)
It’s fairly easy to get over 15 crates before level 5. Try to nail the easy achievements like “Boost a unit using vitality 10 times” early on and get as many keys as possible. You can normally buy all four scrolls in the Scoiatael tree to get a bunch of ore to get the barrels either for your preferred faction or whatever. Good chance of getting some purples or even golds. At least you will usually have enough duplicates to mill to craft some decent cards.
I played in the first months of the closed beta, before card placement was even introduced. Shit got so ridiculously different from the Witcher 3 minigame that I was basically banished by all the new systems I couldn't understand.
Im always glad to see colleague gaming youtuber , to see how my fellow gaming youtubers make their videos of games , great video , i subscribed , keep up good work mate. 😊
Round 1 play the most annoying bronzes you have play them as well as you can. If they over commit let them cause it just means more gold cards in your hands.
I don't quite get the passing/winning on even. Does this mean you and the opponent have the same ammoumt of cards or is it winning on an even number (2,4,6,8) of cards?
Winning on the same number of cards - an even amount of cards as your opponent (probably a better term would be winning on equal, but winning on even has become the terminology for some reason)
Bruh im probably just stupid ive been playing for about 2 days now i just cant win i played 4 games online lost every single one so i moved to training ands thats even worse
Gwent's been dying since I can remember but somehow it's steadily becoming more popular. Also, despite all the usual whining about some archetypes being OP, the number of competitively viable decks is really high, so I'd say that the game is in a decent spot right now.
not best guide by any means ...the issue with this is you spent 5 mins talking about playing low number cards early on ... You skip right over the most important part .....Knowing the cards you have when to play them .... Playing cards by the number is a quick lose ....it playing by the perks i think most looking for when looking for guide ...not the obvious higher numbers means better card ...
A bit naive to expect a guide can explain how to sequence with every card in the game or even with many of the high tier decks, the cards themselves will change with time, leaving that kind of a tutorial redundant very quickly. The key to winning early on is managing card advantage and trying to trade efficiently with your opponent which is what I tried to highlight here.
@@Freddybabes true can suggest ..tutorial with starter packs ..in sense what good card run in each ..using only cards you begin game with ....what best single 2 or 3 card combo you can do with each start deck ... .. imagine like many first players they know the rules they get higher cards better numbers mean higher ...what they don't know is simple card combo with what you start with ... .. Simple card combo that in start deck would be really useful for learning how combo cards work and get them thinking and looking for other simple combos they start with .....card combo part is the real part game in sense longest learn and what most will want know after 3 games
I like your calm style. I'm so tired and bored when I see every RUclipsr trying hard to be "bombastic".
WHAT'S UP GUYS!
Check out Gopher (let's play games), he has a very calming, intelligent British voice. Until he gets an outrage, lol.
As someone who stopped right before Homecoming, this is very useful. Thank you for this.
Coming in 5 months later and a lot of this information is still relevant to the current patch of the game.

First deck I ever wanted to build: deathwish monster deck and it actually seems to be working lol

When I just start playing out of nowhere, I start using Syndicate deck instead other 5 factions. Lol

Where can I buy the hat you're wearing??
i dont know why but you remind me of meryl streep but as a young dude hahaha. your vids are great tho man keep it up mate.
Great work Freddy! This will be a great resource for new players :)
Would like to see what your budget deck recommendation be for new players , one for each faction.
i hope the game give more keys and ore so that beginners can explore and build more decks they can have ads in the game to if they want.
Shupe’s shop musical beat sounds like the ding that’s made while moving up and down the GTA San Andreas menu. Lol
Thronebreaker also gives you plenty of reward points, and it has a discount now.
I'm just starting today any tips?
Still hard to understand being completely new to the game, but thanks for trying i got something out of this
Thank you for your help as always
Thanks for the video
is it worth buying premium? Also does the premium expire after season ends?
It seems throne breaker not available on mobile?
hey Freddy nice video, very helpful. Could you build a deck with hidden cache? the update nerfed it a lot...
I think the nerf has rendered it quite noncompetitive, I'll try again with the leader when new hoard cards are added to the game :)

wait why did gwent move to steam?
also Freddybabes can you do a eco/grind guide on acquiring stuff?
A steam version is now available, and its still on GOG and mobile

It's never been more popular since beta.
The last patch left a lot of players disapointed but its still a fearly popular game
Every game you enjoy playing is worth covering. Especially F2P games. Easy Access imo and no reason to not try it at least a day or two..
