The Bible always compares two: Cain and Abel, Ishmael and Isaac, Jacob and Esau, etc. These are examples of the first Adam [Flesh, water, carnal nature] and the last Adam [Spirit, fire, Godly nature]. The stability of the Rock represents the last Adam, Christ. The instability of the sand represents the first Adam. ❤
Thank you, I really needed to hear this today. This was God answering my prayers! I also love the rock metaphor, it’s been coming up a lot in my studies. Psalm 18:2 is one that has spoken to me. I especially like the use of three different words that all mean rock. Jesus is amazing!
