The U.S. authorities is totally ineffective in solving migrant problem from the Southern border. Just imagine if the Philippines is stuck with Afghans amidst the security concerns. This is a valuable lesson.

Have you looked into the plan ? US’ plan is to accept the refugees. In NY, MA, CA, wherever. That permanent placement is a work in progress, and not trivial . The PH is one of the proposed processing centers. To expedite getting them out of harm’s way ASAP in Afghanistan. Similar to Vietnam War. And costs paid-for solely by the US.

How will they house, give medical attention amongst other things for the afghans? They shouldn't do it. The Filipinos need medical attention, housing and food first. No foreigner should come here and be taken cared of before its own. A lot of these afghans have ties the isis and the Taliban and they can or will be taken to fight the Philippines military if another war statts here.

Why can't they put them in Guam since they will only temporary housed before their settlement. The Philippines is always a sanctuary for International Refugees even before the old times, even until now to Ukrainians (Our Law regarding refugees was even renew or improved to make the process for refugees becomes 1-2mos only).
Many Filipinos doesn't approves for afghans because of the National Security Concern regarding ISIS or terrorists. In Mindanao area there are still some few extremists group that are sympathizers of ISIS and TALIBAN, people are afraid that the terrorist might travel to Cities where the refugees are (for their attack).
And also there are security concerns regarding to the true profiles of some refugees (they might be a terrorist or a US robots that can be activate anytime especially that they were former US employees).
The Filipinos especially in Mindanao are still in trauma because of what happened in MARAWI, that's also one of the reason, they don't want the terrorists to become more active or to be send here again in the Philippines.
If it's Ukrainians or other nationalities or even ordinary civilian afghans that were not a US employees, then the people will not hesitate like this now.
Ikaw pala na manileño ang may gusto nang refugees, bat di mo nalang dyan sa manila ilagagay ang mga afgans total may Muslim community din naman dyan. Wag mo na ipadala dito sa mindanao dahil hindi naman kami ang nagimbita at nag welcome.
Do not make the big mistake of thinking that these Muslims are just the same as other people from Vietnam, etc. Muslims have a different agenda. Don't be a simpleton. I have no problem with other countries as long as they're not Muslim. I know what the Islamic religion teaches and how they operate. Also look up Taqiyya.

As long as they have no affiliation with ISIS, Talibans, or other terrorist groups and won’t be a threat or burden to society, Filipinos wouldn’t mind helping out families from other nations and give them a safe place to live and work.
We dont have the same technology like US have and we wont risks our safety here. Japan has problem in its decreasing population they must consider housing afghans there.

We have trust issues on it and if It will ruined the reputation of our Country because of not allowing all afghans Better Reject the Idea at first. We still have poverty, housing and insurgency issues to address. There are many countries they must and should consider.

The Philippines is only as big as New Mexico in the US and has 110 million people and does not have the economy to support those people . Why can't they put them in Guam since they will only temporary housed before their settlement. How did the US handle hundreds of thousands of illegals crossing the border ever month and giving them welfare, housing and benefits almost in no time at all. I think the US is dumping those Afghans in the Philippines for good. It is very sad for the Pilipinos to get that burden.

What’s your problem, English is not our First language, but Second language only. So Filipinos will speak English its own way.
Other Asians whose first language is not english does not say as much "aaaa" "aaaa" "aaaa" "daaa" "daaaa" than the Filipinos.
