Thanks again, Shanda, for sharing this info. Just a note, you will never ever be able to please all the people all the time. Just do what you do, be authentic, and you will find your followers. I speak from six decades of experience. Your videos are easy to listen to, you're sweet, and you will succeed. 😊
Oh - if you had the time to share about your spring and summer markets I would love to watch that. It sure if I’ll do markets next year, but I live watching other people prepping
Because you asked about your kids activity packs, I only sold 1, but I was able to donate the rest to a local community centre that runs holiday programming for kids, so i felt good about that 🙂
@EphemeralKeyStudio Thanks for sharing how you did with these, I didn't do well either. I'm keeping mine for next year but I love that you found a meaningful way to gift them 😊
@@SimpleCreationsByShanda I thought they were super cute, and I’m sure I would have sold more if more families had been there. It seemed like it was mostly older folk at that market, the pack I sold was to a little boy with his grandma. I might try it again if I book a school fair next year (our Christmas season coincides with summer break, so a lot of schools have fundraiser fairs at the end of the year)
@EphemeralKeyStudio I think you may do well selling your Journals online... maybe Etsy or get yourself an e-commerce store. I'm not sure if you will ever get what they are worth at craft fairs because they are simply beautiful. Of course, you can take them to your fairs, but between fairs you can post them for sale and use your RUclips platform as a way to offer them for sale. Just a suggestion 💗
I think the animal ornaments would do well at $5. People are still watching their funds and at fairs, they are not wanting to spend a lot of money. It’s depressing, but true. Only way I’ll spend extra at a craft fair is something that is unique. Your artwork is beautiful.❤
Shanda, you make such beautiful things that a suggestion is to maybe do a higher end craft show like an art show almost. It’s a shame you didn’t sell your decoupage items.
I appreciate that so much Anne! You know... I knew the decoupaged ornaments wouldn't appeal to a wide audience and that's okay. I will keep taking them to shows until the right person comes along 😊
Hey Shanda. Thank you for sharing your crafts fair info. If wish I could have attended one of yours. I enjoy going to them and supported the artists. I wish I had the time to have do a craft fair. I appreciate all the hard work it takes so thank you for what you do!💕
I hear very often "I wish I had the time to..." I hope one day you will have the time to do a craft fair, they are a lot of work but so much fun. Thank you for watching Dinah 💗
I've been checking your channel every few days for this post-fair recap, eager to hear how it all went. I'm not at all surprised that your handpainted ornaments sold so well. My comment on your pre-fair video expressed that $12 each would've been a bargain, so I'm glad you chose to bump up the price on those. You deserved it! I'm super tempted to buy some things but i have to rewatch the video. I'll email you shortly. Happy holidays Shanda!
You were right about the ornaments and I'm grateful for the feedback! I just hadn't taken enough time to think it through. Thank you for hanging in there and being patient, I appreciate you watching 💗😊
I had similar experience with my tea favors, hot cider and cocoa sales. Hoping my last show will sale them all. Curious if you thought about putting a pen with your notebooks this helps mine sale. I put them in a clear bag with a pen. Thanks for sharing how your items sold this year!
Hi Lisa... I have had other crafters say their tea favors did not do well, which is strange, they sold so well last year. I have had suggestions to put a pen with my Journals but I hesitate, because I would have to raise the price, and I'm just not sure people would want to pay more. Then you have the case where someone wants a Journal but not a pen, or vice versa, then doesn't buy anything because it isn't sold separately. I rarely have shoppers buy both a pen and a journal at the same time. Maybe I should test the waters and only make a few sets but also sell them separately. I may do that for my Spring fair in April. I hope your last show does well! Always nice to hear from you 😊
About the “kid craft pack” 🤗 If I may suggest, consider creating instead of one big pack DIY crafts for kids make many in small, compact packages that are perfect for fitting inside 🎅🏼Christmas stockings 🧦 These ‘Stocking Stuffer Craft Kits’ could be a big hit! And because it’s small the price will be smaller as well but you still can charge more them if they were inside the big pack. Consider suggesting like putting many different activities inside the stoking so they will double, triple the fun 😉 Think about including fun and simple projects like your mini ornament-making kits, holiday-themed friendship bracelet sets, or your industrial snap bracelets. And for teens, note pads with your shaker pens, stickers, or mini Snapchat prom, birthday, vacation album with some tags and attach to the album your shaker pens I hope these ideas help you next time 😉
Love your videos. If you don’t want to bother with the kid crafts, you could always donate them for Christmas. There are so many deprived and ill children who would absolutely love them! Happy holidays to you.
@carolkula5120 That's a wonderful idea 😊 Often times, after my craft fairs I go around my town right before Christmas and bless people with things I have left over. I hadn't thought about the kid craft packs... thank you for suggesting! Merry Christmas to you ❤️
Thank you for showing us your best and worst sellers. It’s surprising how each year some things sell and others don’t. I did a craft fair last weekend. I made the kids craft packs but a little differently. Made 6 and sold 5. Priced at $6 each. I gave the last one to a sweet little boy.
That is very interesting! I'm glad your kid packs sold well. I think sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to how craft fair items sell. How was your overall show?
@wendihaikugrl2651 You are so welcome, I'm glad you found it helpful 😊 I don't always feel very organized but I am definitely better than I use to be. Thanks for watching!
@@elizabethcoates6925 I agree! I like Shanda's videos at her own natural pace. I enjoy the sounds of shuffling the items and her Kentucky accent. I watched a few of her videos multiple times because I find them calming.
Yes! I was about to say the same thing! Shanda, you do you, girl. Your videos are great and people that can’t leave a positive comment can go kick rocks. 😂
That's a great question! Honestly, I think they sold about the same. But I bet kids would rather have a non holiday themed one to wear throughout the year. That's just my thought 😊
Lol I just knew someone would ask about this. I actually forgot to mention it in the Recap. I only took them to my first fair, which was the Fall Festival. I did not sell any, but thar was not the right crowd for that item. However, I am planning to take them to my Spring fair in April, which will be a better audience. I also forgot to mention I sold both of my Christmas Planners and I didn't sell any of my Christmas greeting cards. @flannelwhiskers
@@SimpleCreationsByShanda glad you sold your planners! I'll be curious to hear how you do with your blank notecards. RE: your Christmas cards, I like how you put a panel on the inside of your cards!
The snowmen are so cute. Maybe the price was too high? Hard to tell. It depends on the customer base. I actually change prices depending on where the show is. I made your tea packets and didn't sell a single one. I think they're so cute. Good thing I like tea 😂
Thank you... those snowmen were so labor intensive, thats the only reason I even priced them as high as I did. They may never sell but that's just how craft fairs go sometimes. I hate to hear your tea samplers didn't sell either! It's so frustrating because I loved the way they turned out. I will save mine and try to sell them again next year. Thanks for sharing, I like hearing how other crafters do, hopefully your overall show was good 💗
@jacrippin1 The expiration date on my tea is July 2026. From what I've read, heat can make tea go bad, so I just keep mine stored in a sealed container in a cool dry place.

@ overall it was pretty good. I’ve had better but this one was at the same time as a large one so I think that made it not as good as last year.
@devmov08 That can definitely make a difference in sales for sure
Please do a video for your Spring craft fair
