That’s why there wasn’t much content post launch for Connections since not all attention was on it and they just polished off the dlc they already started
Personally as much as it hurts me,I’m not expecting Kanao to be playable at launch since Flower Breathing hasn’t been animated yet,however I’m pretty confident she’ll be DLC since without going into spoilers,there will be enough material in the first Infinity Castle movie to make her a DLC character,heck,she had plenty of moveset material in season 1 but the lack of Flower Breathing was what hold her back from being playable.

The only two options they have is releasing dlc for each movie individually which I kinda think is not good because they would also have to split the games story into 3 parts, or make a new game just for infinity castle when it’s done. The game will definitely release just before the first Infinity Castle movie so they can take advantage of those DLCs,I just hope they don’t take months after it ends its theatrical run to release them like how Uzui took MONTHS to be playable after season 2 ended. Also why is nanami so trash as an ai teammate in rush mode, I swear he just exists to eat your stocks.

Infinity Castle isn't gonna be DLC and it's kinda dumb to think it WILL be. at best each movie will be released a year apart from one another, the game will likely release before the first movie but it won't be added as DLC and it shouldn't either. it would be so dumb to add it and wait another year for movie 2 content to be added and another year for movie 3 content. it would be far better to just wait 3 years and release the third game with Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown (final arc and likely will be animated by 2027/2028).

Considering they are aiming for an elevated "anime" or even a "ova" style, I definitely think there is always going to be a peak that would be extremely hard to surpass after you hit the mark the first time. So I'm not surprised the game looks mostly the same graphically. There's only so many filters/shaders you need before you're just adding effects with no positive return.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the divine battle scene between Gyutaro vs Tengen will look in the game. I think infnity castle arc will probably be playable as part of the story in game 3, but at that time I would like to be able to explore the inside of infnity castle.

Why couldn’t they wait until the infinity castle was ready? So we can have all the characters including Kanao, or maybe it will be a dlc, like how the entertainment district was a dlc in the first one.
