I was so excited for Phoebe Philo to debut her namesake collection. Her 1st drop was underwhelming and disappointing (at least to me). This is her 2nd drop -- basically part 2 of the collection. And this time, I'm not holding back! Brutally honest review, here we go!

I think Banana Republic’s new collection is way more stylish and nicer than whatever that was, these clothes are totally not my style. Nothing about them makes me want to buy them or even look at them. They’re not interesting at all. By the way, my favorite store is Banana Republic most of the clothes in my closet are from them. 😊❤️

OMG. That “scarf” was ridonkulous. The prices are beyond outrageous. I love the black leather pants. For $5000??? Hail no. 😂

I know her bags sold out the first round but I really need to know how limited the stock was. I have a hard time believing people were buying a boring $8000 tote in droves. Ludicrous.
Maybe they only produced a handful of each! 😂 It’s hard for me to understand also.
The Drive in lilac caught my eye as well. But as you said, “I’m over it” 😂 still respect Phoebe, but the prices tho!

The more pieces that I see from phoebe’s collection, I just appreciate her old celine pieces more and more 😭 those ostrich looking jacket, pillow scarf and mum necklace are absolutely a joke.
I think she’s like Karl Langerfeld. So good when with Chanel, when launched his own label it’s Toddler-vibe cartoonish OMG. What a Joke. Her yoo so good when with Celine not quite with her own label 🤦🏻♀️ Just sayin’ 🖐🏻 hehe

The bags looks meh. It looks like a high school student designed them. Simple and boring. Her designs before were simple and classic. This one, not memorable at all. Overprized and overhyped.
Finally some silver hardware bags! But the prices. And I don't expect to see dog leash hardware on bags at these price points. We'll find them deeply discounted like McQUEEN and Tom Ford.
I mean... I would love to appreciate it, but as soon as you notice the price, I have to decline.
Some of the items from the collection are lazy designs and some even are almost copycat of the old celine. What a ripoff

I get that Pheobe is trying to do her thing. I think that Polene has a way, way nicer tote at 1/10th the price tbh. She is counting on her die hards supporting her or something because this is just nope.
I don’t know what I was expecting but the whole collection is very underwhelming
I would never spend lots of money for silver or gold plated jewelry. I wear the real gold or white gold small tasteful items, some antiques, some vintage. The best item was the leather jacket, high neck, with a waist. Good review, fun to see what designers are creating.

the prices are wild. like she had clout at Celine, but i'm not sure she earned charging The Row prices out the door. i guess the first drop sold well.
Absolutely not for clothes. Designs that would be for one wearing, because second time I would be done with it. Only liked toffee tote but please ...the price. Thanks for making this video.

Her designs used to be exiting, not so much now but the loafer with the white center and the purple bag are really eye catching to me.
The clothes, some look to me like Rick Owens gone wrong-none of his edge nor clean aesthetics.

Thanks for this - I really needed a good laugh today. Would not have searched out her new collection on my own accord. I am not a Philo person, but do appreciate certain bags she created for Celine (the Classic, the Trio). I don't understand what she is doing now?! I much prefer the vibe of Slimane's Celine to this.

I also found myself a bit underwhelmed when I checked out the second launch on the website yesterday… quite a departure from the incomparable Céline designs of the past. Those prices are 😮😮😮 Maybe I’m just not the persona being targeted for these designs with a matching financial threshold. However, I think no matter what brand you are, you need to think of the value you bring first and foremost so you can justify the price you command.

Brands work for years and decades to build up audiences and followers to justify asking $8000+ for bags. You can’t just not produce anything for years and come out of nowhere into the market that’s been well taken care of by other brands in your absence and demand those kinds of prices.

You were SPOT ON in your critique. Everything bored me or seemed okay but hella overpriced.. Luxury fashion should excite, not bore or make us roll our eyes at how ridiculous it is. But she sold out, so Phoebe has the last laugh I suppose.
