I am so grateful that you posted this online for everyone to see. For a public school teacher, this is a great help.

Trevor, you mention making these with a hinged side. Do you have any suggestions on how to build it with a hinged side?

Hi Trevor! Thanks for this video. When making your internal frame - what measurements do you use so that it fits inside snug?

FYI: For the boards with only two rabbits, the rabbits go on the shorter sides. I wasted part of a sheet by not checking first.

How much weight can a box hold without the internal frame support?

Trevor, what kind of box joint jig do you use?

Hey I am looking at making some of these for my dance show they need to be sturdy enough to stand on/tap on but light enough to move I need measurements so the person can make them but I have no idea! What would you recommend? I want bigger than the ones you did in the video thank you! 😊

Hey Kelly. I just finished making 24" versions of these. I was able to make one cube with one 4/8 sheet of ¾" plywood. The top and bottom are 24" with the same ¾" wide by 3/8" deep rabbet. Two of the sides are 24" wide and 23 ¼" tall. Those 23 ¼" sides get the rabbet. Then the other two sides are 23 ¼" x 23 ¼"

Also I made a simple internal structure to bear weight. See the green here: d.pr/i/y5LV. I made it out of 2x4 and offset the up/down one so it didn't interfere with the hole/handle

Hey Trevor. Very cool and I just made these and a 24" version :) I'm confused about the dimensions though. If the final width will be 16" and we're making 3/8" deep rabbets on the sides will that not leave us with a 15-3/8 plus 3/8" plus 3/8" or 16-1/8"? What am I missing?

The top and bottom should be 16" x 16", 2 sides should be 16" x 15 1/4" and 2 sides should be 15 1/4" x 15 5/8". That should ensure the cube is 16x16 square when using a 3/8" rabbet. Thanks for pointing out.
