Hi Asad, if we consider electric actuated ones (MOV), it depends on the type of plug/disc. For eg in a gate valve MOV i believe it can only be fail last or fail indeterminate. I'm just wondering not quite sure though and never experienced this situation. But MOVs I've usually found FL on p&ids
Good explanation Asad.keep it up. But I do have a question, how the flow necessarily cause the Fail Last position for Globe valve piston to come down or go up.How the horizontal normal flow can lift the vertical piston? OR the process have to be told to Maintain such flow?

merci je l’apprécie (Thank you for your kind words of appreciation)
Nice explanation 👍
Thanks 🙂
Excellent refresher
so glad you liked it !! 😊
Wonderfull ✨. Nicely explained!
Glad you liked it! 😊
Good video. Please make video about "needle type control valve".
Thanks.
Sure (I.A) thanks for your comment. Will start to work on it !!
Thanks buddy, great efforts
Thank you so much, I am happy you liked it !!
hi
the customer requested air fail Last but siganal failure closed.what isntruments is required and a schematic diagram please

What about electrically actuated needle control valve? How the flow path will help in achieving our goal?
Thanks.
Yes you are very correct in MOV we cant have FAIL CLOSE or FAIL OPEN position
But sir in case of control valve with piston operated actuator volume tank is also provided by valve vendor right?
If volume tank is required then it should be specifically mentioned in datasheet. (It has additional cost)
Good explanation Asad.keep it up.

Good question....I also wonder the same...
