“There is light BUT there’s a tunnel to crawl through”. There’s also hands in the dark to guide you through the terrifying crawl through the shite. Hold onto them tightly. You’re never alone. Thank you, Scott.
Talent, fans and a heart. Clearly indicated by the lyrics. A family that cares. Just goes to show nothing makes a difference. If you have to go, you have to go. After Scott’s death I’ve wondered what hitting the water at from that height feels Like. Not for me. Don’t panic people, I’m not depressed or suicidal. Just curious.
I expected this band to take over in 2013, MOF seemed like it was just below the level of truly national consciousness. Their american tour sold out quickly everywhere, and PV got great reviews and scott really showed maturation as a songwriter...but I feel like everything kind of fizzled? Here's hoping they keep touring and can'twait til the next album!
I think they're at a level that they'll be content with in terms of popular appeal but if they keep turning out exceptional records, I think one will take them somewhere else in terms of sales etc. Some bands just seem to blow up at unexpected times and they always feel like one that could at any point to me. They'll certainly be one that kids will discover in 10-20 years and fall in love with.
I'll always miss this man I never knew.
