I'm seeing a lot of comments from years ago. Time may heal wounds, but it doesn't heal the feeling of loss. We may never have known this man personally, but the feeling of loss remains valid. The world was better with Scott in it, and it's a less artistically beautiful place with him gone. I hope he's at peace wherever he may be.
When I see how joyous he is in some of these older shows I can almost trick myself for a second that the outcome will be different. I can still listen to FR and nothing else for a week at a time. And it still makes me feel EVERYTHING. Scott, if you can hear me through the ether, you saved my life. With great gratitude...

Without a doubt, the best and most raw humble lyricists to exist of modern music. I’d say it’s a shame they weren’t more recognized but who gives a shit about that. Scott spoke to a side of us that we rarely talk about.
A true poet and gentle soul. The world needs more of his humbleness. RIP to the best musician of my generation. His lyrics have shaped me into being the human being I am today.

Um you are NOT kidding!! I literally just started listening to them, falling madly in love with them and then I find out Scott is no longer with us. This feels shittier than I could ever imagined.

R.I.P. You beautiful man you felt you had to leave so you opened the door and walked through it.
But your music is so pure and honest the legacy of your music you have left behind is immense you were a beautful soul.
But you are now singing on a higher plane and I am sure that the Angels will love it as we have.

I loved frightened rabbit. A friend of mine also took his life from the same bridge a few months after. I now think of him whenever I hear them.
I really regret not seeing these guys when I had the chance. The brothers are from my neck of the woods too. Hope you’re at peace Scott

Can make you feel melancholic ... b/c even though their music lives on, it is kind of sad, that they are all gone (now), feel a bit sad for todays younger ones, that they will not get a chance to see them live anymore.

Heard Los Angeles, Be Kind in a movie and found this band subsequently via Owl John. Then, immediately learned that they are no more. So sad!

Sadly I never listened to this band until I read of Scott's death. They are excellent, RIP. If you have a friend who experiences depression try and give them some of your time.
I never had either, but now I know that they are close with We Were Promised Jetpacks, another Scottish band that I have liked for a few years, and who have a similar sound.

Possibly second only to Elliott Smith. Other than him, there's no one I'd rather meet, no one whose lyrics inspire and devastate me as much, no one whose musical compositions light a fire under me as much as Scott Hutchison.
