I've been playing this deck off and on since Crokeys first made it and It's still pretty good. BUT it's absolutely infuriating to pilot because of the auto tapper. It bends over backwards to avoid using treasure vault and artifacts for mana and will cost you games if you don't manually tap everything.
I've seen Moonsnare Prototype used in Blue/White Artifacts in Modern a lot. With Urza, Emry, and a bunch of cheap artifacts. It's probably a meta deck. It has good match ups. I like it when Standard legal cards make an impact in older formats so I thought it was worth mentioning.
Im patiently waiting for the day when Revel in Silence and Mystical Reflection will somehow fit in an azorius deck. This one looked atrocious enough though and my inner rakdos feels much quenched, tyvm Also...artifacts! Because why put an annoying Tef in the deck for free when you can have valid reasons to play him!
That first tempo deck had luck I can only dream of, when I play tempo I struggle to get creatures and protection spells, and when I do it's always boon of safety against sacrifice and exile effects. If I could play 8 slips I would but I have to settle for boons, and swirling mists which eat up mana I need for protection spell #2 for their 500th removal spell.
@@KroyX Unfortunately I think that is real. It makes me sick. I wish there was some sort of requirement to disclose their matchmaking/shuffler algorithms, because they are clearly not random.
Did CGB just rage scoop @ 27:07 or am I missing something? The opponent didn't tap the Bankbuster, but targetted it for 1 damage. Couldn't he have blocked the token and just gone to 4? I don't blame him though. I would've rage scooped way earlier lol
One of my most enjoyable moments recently was someone playing a goldspan dragon turn 5 and leaving the treasure up with a blatant counterspell. I had 5 land and two treasure so I portable holed the treasure and then cast storm the festival into a wandering emperor and an elspeth. Auto scoop for the opponent.
With the rotation coming up, what decks should one be looking to build? I refuse to put money into Arena, for obvious reasons. What are some good decks with more recent cards that won't be rotating. This also applies to FNM for paper.
AWESOME VIDEO MUST WATCH very fun and enjoyed it all insane first game so close on the other and Boros got spank pretty hard for putting all his egg in one basket he didn't even stop after the first Doomskar I would have just did 1 at a time because once out of threat you lose so much faster but stayed till the end even through commercial for more support and I can't wait to see what you do next especially the next Commander game and please never forget CGB you're cool 😎🤟🏽❤️
This was maybe my favorite deck from this entire rotation, even though I never wanted to craft the Treasure Vaults to make it work for me. I think some version of it might happen again next year if Brothers' War gives us a bunch of new artifacts to play with.
Ive played this deck since crokeyz played it way back, the auto tapper makes it difficult and ita hard to play on mobile. One of my favorites though tbh
Why is the hampster deck so broken? Out of 30 game, yes THIRTY, Minsk and Boo k/d is 25 to 5 on Historic Brawl. Go a little harder on artifact or enchantment removal, will crush control. Very much an aggro deck, don't forget the older 1 and 2 drops from amonket, exert is good. Your finisher is very often the minus on Boo but it apparently comes out of nowhere, people die to hampster. Put that on a shirt
The losing to bad players thing is a black mark on Magic imo. There is way too much RNG in recent formats that heavily protects low skill, low IQ players from the consequences of their poor decisions. The result is a lot of people thinking they know how to play Magic while being useless.
With modern technology anyone can just netdeck now and the only skill required to play sometimes becomes clicking the mouse. Quite infuriating when this happens. Maybe even more for planeswalkers centered in blue like CGB since it's 'the' color where you have to think the most

Yeah
That game was SO good! I’ve been playing this deck ever since you featured it on the channel and it’s always the most entertaining MTG content for me
17:00 no roasting here brother, that was a hell of a duel! Well played sir.
The Historic variant of this deck is one of my absolute favorites to play right now
What is the deck that?
Would love the list or at least a couple key cards
I'd also like to see that deck list

Joining the party.
I love artefacts, but never used them in Control. And as a Control mage, I feel like I need to try it!
Cheers. c:

I was poking around with an izzet list with moonsnare and magda

Just pump more money in the game, increases your luck.

Yep, opponent messed up and instead of tapping dealt 1 damage to the bank buster
Wow yeah I didn't even notice that. I think he assumed his opponent made the game winning play and didn't realize they messed up
Aww :( yeah prolly
Rage scoop friendly scoop, realistically once magma opus was cast that was game. Especially if it was paper magic!
That Azorius virtuoso deck does look pretty fun. Very good game you had there.
You played with my friend Chris and his son Cade. They said Cade helped you beat everyone at the table and it was their highlight of Orlando.
Why didnt you exile the luminarc at 12:41?
I actually like these videos before tournaments because CGB is so fried that he plays like us normies. It’s a completely different side of him.
Am I missing something on the scoop on game 2? 1 damage to the buster 3 to face. Just rage scoop?
Great video - hope you have a good time! Whats the closest to MN are you getting?

Auto scoop for the opponent.
Who cares
That first game was so cathartic.

lol with the planeswalker coming in only at the last play of the video

Incredible win at 17min
would love a second video on this deck
First opponent probably netdecked that list just before playing you. So many mistakes. Pilot malfunctions 🤣
Sheesh, right on time.
you played really well against the virtuoso opponent, congrats
Amazing first game CGB
i will try this deck for sure as a big fan of azorius, thanks as always!
That first game was nutty
Love the salt when the opponent is once the lucky one.

Thanks for the game today and the newly signed Yoooooorion!

It's CGB playing azorious again!
a tezzeret deck? Oh i'm gonna copy *that*
Fastest click, let's go :)
We all want a tameshi deck! Make it happen :D
7:10 Why didn't you tap - say - Portable Hole instead of paying 1?
I didn't even realise they finally fixed Teferi. He was busted for the longest time and didn't work. Oh Wizards.
That first game, though... Saying it was intense is selling it short.
Complains the whole game, wins. Boom roasted.
Algorithm goes brrr.
Did you even draw a walker in these games???
Just to register, i am playing that CGB toxic pauper azorius control in the unranked historic, with some good results.
Waiting for Jinny singing the mono red song...
Finally
Artifact control aw yeah
imagine talking to yourself infront of a computer then uploading it, today's society is so cringe
try naproxen for migraines, knocks them out like nothing else
Sorry I'm late I had my first Pokemon Go Fest today I caught 15 shiny Pokemon 😅

There will always be a "gold span"
Ruin crab is much more annoying

@@aaroncottingham4048 I play fine it’s just a boring format… u must be one of the boring people
Azorious is my favorite
I hardly ever get the cool cards planeswalkers arcane bombardment without certain cards a deck usually isn’t worth it
This deck has always been pretty good, It just folds to thalia
ROOOOOOOOOOAAAAST!!!!😶🌫

Magic's biggest wincons have always been luck and deck strength/matchup.
