      Right?? I love the purity of his higher register. He does remind me of Scholl, strangely also of trailblazer and legend Alfred Deller, what a voice!!

    Wow Brandon what a very delicate, simple yet effective arrangement for archlute (I think the lightness of the instrument brings out something different in the continuo than eg a theorbo version would), and Kangmin Justin Kim is such an amazing talent, simply sublime I feel so fortunate to see you play together with all these amazing singers!!

    I'm not a musician, but it's interesting how you can tell this music is fundamentaly different to the way people do music nowdays. It feels kind of wrong to my ears, yet I can tell that in its own logic, it makes sense and it is beautiful.

      They certainly were moved and impressed. This is a piece by Henry Purcell, one of the great masters who was very highly regarded by his contemporaries and the public. Though he died tragically young, he was a prolific composer of sacred and secular music which we continue to enjoy today.

      Hi, there are many types of arpeggios so I don't know which one you are referring to. Instead of playing the chord all at once, generally you stagger the notes from the lowest to highest.
