In India 300cc is pretty ample. Coz unlike the US, we do not have wide big long roads to enjoy the full capacity of say like a 1000cc bike. Most high performance bike just gets choked in this country. So the 300-500cc range is like the Goldilock zone for India.

No problem. I got 37 to 38 mileage during my Spiti ride. I also carried extra 5 lt fuel for emergency but it's not needed. But I recommend u to carry 2 lt extra fuel. That's enough for emergency purpose.

Traction control: anybody know how to turn off / disable the HSTC (honda selectable torque control)? i've pulled the ABS motor fuse. and i've undone the front wheel speed sensor. But HSTC still cuts my power :((. Nothing on Google, nor the CBR forums.

Be careful when there is big size rocks. Otherwise no problem. Cb done good jod during off road. Yes u can off road. But if tyre is on and off road tyre it will more better. Suitable cruising speed 90 to 110.
Is it good bike to go on long trips? Or yazdi roadster kind of bikes are good? I don't have much knowledge about bikes but want to buy one and go for trips.

For normal ladakh route, don't need extra fuel. Because in hilly area this bike gives great mileage. I got above 40. Nowadays more fuel pump is there. But, I also carried extra 5 lit fuel. I recommend to carry only 2 lit fuel for any emergency.
You guys & girls in India really show the full capabilities of under 400cc bikes. Here in the west they’re considered underpowered.

Yes it's a good bike for touring. But I think yazdi is more comfortable than cb. Bcz cb is road focus bike.
