I went to Venice a few times and I stayed in Treviso and lido de jesolo rather than the city because it’s expensive to stay in the city
You can get free coffee in Italy it’s called cafe sospeso meaning suspended coffee. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwich or a whole meal. Good bit of info for future reference Simon.
