Wow, as a darkskin woman of Jamaican decent who is engaged, my main concern is my makeup artist and how I look in my photos. The fact that you made it clear with your shot list and he still didn't listen is insane.
Girl. It bothers me A LOT that out of 3 photographers I came across 2 couldn't edit dark skin in Jamaica but hey-- thankfully my makeup artist was great. I always recommend her: instagram.com/brideandbeautyltd/
Sorry you had to experience that. I always say trust your gut. I’ve always been let down when I go against a gut feeling. The new pictures look so rich and well done.
I'm so sorry you went through this. What people do is exactly what you said. They take their portraits before, but still, I want good captures on the day. I am happy younredid them, and now you have your memories locked in❤

@@leti1569 I think there's room for interpretation and freedom in lots of cases but not when you're charging couples multiple thousands of dollars for wedding photos-- as a professional weddingphotographer you have to know the difference between candid and unflattering
I learnt to just pay for somebody I trust to just fly to the wedding. It’s good you re-did them. I had noticed when you posted the pic that they seemed a bit forced and unnatural.
I did think that I probably could have flown someone from Nigeria for the same price but that feels weird. It should not be hard to find a decent photographer in Jamaica just like it wasn’t hard to find a decent photographer in Nigeria 🥲 anyways anything I posted I liked, thankfully
I’m happy, you’re happy especially after you redid some of your photos, those pictures have life essence in them! To the original photographer ewww why make such a colorful affair so muted, why avoid taking pictures of your beautiful smile and eyes, why aren’t you the star as the bride. When the photographer sent the preview photos creative, Tia did not come to play version came out, I want to choose the photos send them all to me. Badass moment. You were so in the right understanding, you wanted to take a break on your own wedding, I don’t blame you for wanting to be off guard for it bit. But yeah research research, don’t make compromises. Pay attention to photographer style. Shot list, Pinterest board, mood boards. Check photos at the end of the day. Wedding portraits before or after wedding. Some great tips for us Tia. 1 billion years into the future and people will still appreciate how you paved the way for the next generation and current. Being the first sucks, a trailblazer in the history books, but if you have friends and family anything is possible if we get through it with joy. it's so crazy to me because he followed me for months before the wedding so I have no idea why he thought that first set would be acceptable. It's a big mystery to me😩 but I'm not going to think about it anymore lol
At the end of the day you epitomized Nikki Giovanni for me with how you handled the situation. Honesty does not have to be volatile angry, mean, cruel. You were honest but stern with the photographer and said just send me my photos please, I got to keep cute, got to keep it moving. Ps: the girl came through!
secondo me non è un fotografo professionista ma molto improvvisato, molte foto erano anche fuori fuoco sui volti, ha provato a fare correzioni in post produzione aumentando il contrasto e usando filtri che simulassero una luce spot, ma il risultato è pessimo, ha reso l'atmosfera delle foto drammatiche. Non ci sono opinioni su questo fotografo anche da altre utenti? giusto per capire se ha sbagliato solo con te, anche se non credo proprio
Non ho mostrato i suoi altri lavori per la privacy sua e anche dei suoi clienti però aveva un portfolio ampio di lavori che non avevano questi problemi. Ha lavorato con grandi nomi ed è abbastanza conosciuto 💀
