What an incredible young talent! Though Auli'i's career is just getting started, it is clear she has an extremely bright future ahead of her! So happy for her, and all her success. :)

Tyler H no offense but what were the supposed to do? Show pochohontas being raped in a Disney movie? Its not like that was the only misrepresented story. Anastasia was based on a real story but irl Anastasia and her family were all taken from their beds and night and executed via firing squad. Is that really something that should be been in a children's movie? Probably not.
She can sing, dance, do voice acting, acting and also be pretty at the same time. FML!!!

May I just say, as a former hula dancer, that Auli’i is one of the most amazing dancers I’ve seen. Her smile is gorgeous and her movements are fluid. She truly looks like she’s having fun dancing and looks beautiful doing it. Anyone who says otherwise have no idea what they’re talking about 😂
IMO....When you live, breathe & Believe in what you're doing...presentation/representation becomes easier/2d nature. Even at 58, am Still learning All Day/Everyday. The day we stop learning is the day we die...Maika'i, Auli'i.....Maika'i No!
many people might not know this, but the song she dances to is talking about the six ancient districts of her home island, of O'ahu. 'Ewa, the central south; Kona, the southern east; Ko'olaupoko, the mid-east; Ko'olauloa, the north eastern shores; Waialua, the north west; and Wai'anae, the entire western shore. the song is an awaking to these districts to the start of a new dawn, a new day.
*Edit* : ok so Iʻve been informed that Auliʻi was originally from the island of Hawaiʻi but moved to Oʻahu. I didnʻt know that so Mahalo for pointing that out.

@ Kupa'a Kaleo...Mahalo nui loa for sharing that information! i had the Blessing of living on O'ahu back in the '80's...danced (and felt) Hula (as best i could as a white girl) and it was an honor to be told by a native lady who made my Haku lei that she felt i had a Hawai'ian heart. My heart and spirit never left and i am working towards moving to Mau'i as it is that Island where i have felt strongly drawn to bring healing in some way. My son is currently on O'ahu on his Honeymoon...he was just over 3 yrs. old when we left but still remembers some things about living there. Ho'onanea! *:D

Even not knowing much about hula or the Hawaiian language, I feel like this hula just so accurately captures both Moana and Auli'i's spirits.
Auli'i Cravalho is a Hawaiian actress which is one of the reasons I thought the movie, Moana took place in Hawaii.

This is seriously the prettiest hula I've seen. After watching this for the first time, I looked up a bunch of hula videos, but this one takes the cake. She and her family should so proud of that choreography and performance.
