Hospital delay treatment, and unnecessary procedures for increasing patient bills and risk patients life.
There must be an overlooking body for these life threatening inhuman medical demons scam,
and keep check of what is correctly diagnosed patients condition, which must be proof on paper of tests of these condition, and what correct procedure they follow according to patients need.

Could relate to each and every fact stated in the video. I lost my younger brother from dengue in 2017. He was admitted in Regency a multi-speciality hospital in Kanpur, he was admitted there for near about 15 days. After being the hospital for four days, his condition started improving but all of a sudden they said he would need to go on ventilator for 2 days, there is nothing to worry about, its just the matter of two days. But after two days, they kept on saying that they would observe him for one more day on ventilator. This went on for near about 8 days and then my brother who was just 11 years old, left us forever. They only allowed us to meet him twice a day for five minutes only. He left us when no one was with him, it still breaks my heart that no one was with him when he was in pain, when he was leaving us. We were helpless, we were charged around rupees 12 lac. It wasn't just about the money, it was the false hopes that they gave us by putting him on ventilator. Whenever we said that we would take him to some other hospitals, the doctors started warning us that its risky get him somewhere else being on the ventilator. I wish we would have not listened to them, sometimes we feel like we could save him if we would have not listened to them, because they only let us meet him twice, he was just 11 years who needed his mother beside him, who could him strength to fight that battle, but they didn't allow.
Its been six years since he left us, but still not a single day has passed that we don't remember him.😭

I could never understand the loss that you're going through. Reading about your experince...when youre brother was on the vent it is advisable to not shift him anywhere else as there a lot of things that could go wrong during the process. And im thinking youre brother was kept in isolation at the ICU so its natural that they dont allow visitors because those are sterile spaces and they need to be maintained the same. But idk the entire story so I cannot comment any further. They should've taken proper consent from you for the procedures being done. About the false hope part I didn't understand. Ventilator isn't false hope. It's a devise to assist in oxygen delivery when the body is failing to do so. And yes intubating pt. Comes with risks. But the good it does far outweighs the risks.

Billing is done by the hospitals not by the doctors. They both are separate entities. Doctors take an oath and they abide by it. Corporates don't have an oath. A doctor does everything in his power to abide by his oath. People have really got to stop blaming doctors without knowing all the facts.

I have a fantastic solution for this issue. In the United States, credit card owners have certain protection rights, such as the ability to initiate a chargeback. A chargeback, also referred to as a dispute, allows the bank that issued your credit card to reclaim funds from the retailer's (hospital) bank when you don't satisfied with the services you paid for. This process includes penalties imposed on the retailer's(hospital) bank.

Teaching empathy to doctors will provide no solutions, bcoz these scams are controlled by owners and top management people of the hospitals, out of which hardly 5-10% include doctors (mostly there are having connections or are extremely senior). Rest 90% doctors don't have any control over all these profits. Politicians and businessmen sitting at the top of hospital management are heading these scams and unfortunately no one is going to do anything against them, as they aren't soft targets 😌
So the problem is actually very deep rooted.

Hello, Aditya please go through this comment carefully, speaking as a doctor practicing in corporate. Answering as in order of your points.
    1. There is a lot of difference between hospitals and doctors. Doctors did not over-bill, the hospital did. These are two separate entities.
    2. If the government wishes they can regulate the MRP of drugs and consumables.
    3. Relatives are almost always told about the critical condition of their patients.
    4. Before putting on the ventilator, consent is obtained (unless it's an emergency when there is no time to do so)
    5. Doctors earn way less than their age counterparts in other fields.
    6. Profit from consumables and drugs has to compensate for the entire nursing staff and supporting staff.
    7. If people choose to get admitted in private hospitals, they are told beforehand about the per day cost.
I feel there is a lot of bias against doctors earning which is unfair. I respect your content and have been an avid viewer but I really think you should put both sides of the story. If you want to discuss further I'm open to dialogue.

I think one of the most effective solutions you forgot to mention is Insurance, Most of the developed countries use insurance which is a must for every citizen and which covers almost everything except a few rare diseases. With special extra insurance that can also be covered. For poor people, we have free insurance but unfortunately, our people really don't know about that so we need to make aware of them. In India we need national insurance which should be eligible in every single hospital. I know these private hospitals will try to exploit that too but once govt will realizes they will start to monitor every single medicine and all and it will be an effective system just like any other country.

As insurance is most of the time national insurance so the government can handle the price of that medice which they can use and their price also govt can regulate.
There must be a government app that must be filled by doctors to with paper diagnosis an paper proofs that keeps them following strict procedure and save patient lives who are consumer.
They put pressure on doctor for unnecessary treatment and diagnosis

    Don't go to private hospitals.
However still private hospitals enjoy better patient management as compared to Government hospitals.
This presentation is excellent in breaking patient foctor relationship.
These few cases which are still under investigations cannot be generalized for millions of admissions that take place and get cured.
Quality comes with a cost. Doctors charges are professional charges and called consultation fee not lootna or looters.😢
This report is not going to fo any good to society.

I want to share something , 3 years ago my father was admitted in a leading private hospital in Delhi , where when his surgery was done he wasn't discharged even after 3 months and when we were in the hospital corridor one of the doctors came to me and asked me what the other doctors were saying on my father's health , I told him that the doctors have done almost everything and we were just waiting for them to discharge him from the hospital but then that doctor told me something shocking he said the those doctor wouldn't want to eliminate their money METER . After that I told my parents about that and then we immediately got my father discharged .

Thank you for making this video it was much needed for everyone. And also need to share something which is about my mother aged 78yrs. Its a common thing at this age sometimes she forget things and after sometimes its ok so one day my brother took her to GNRC dispur guwahati where she went by car and it was parked in a lane near hospital and from the parking she walked to the hospital and met the doctor which means she was physically fit. my brother discussed the matter with the doctor who said to admit her for 2 days after that she'll be ok than take her home than my mother opposed and said she is ok and want to go home but my brother thought better admit her as the doctor said she'll be fine in two days so this is were we made a mistake by admiting my mother in hospital as we trusted the doctor they admitted her in ICU my mother opposed again and said that she's fine and wants to go home but we didn't listen to her thinking that she'll be taken good care and we'll do the check ups whats necessary and in ICU they tied her legs and hands as she was struggling to get down from the bed. And by evening doctor said she needs ventilator and we asked the reason they said she had mild stroke for which I had to sign. Till about 10 days we were there without any recovery and getting worse day by day and finally we decided to shift her in GMCH guwahati where she was kept in ventilator for about 20 days and couldn't survive. If we listen to our mother and didn't admit her in GNRC HOSPITAL than I think my mother would have survived till now .

All these happens in Peerless Hospital in Kolkata as well. I have paid 64000 for investigation apart from other points in the bill on a daily basis, medicines 91000 and so on. Within a week, we had to pay more than 3 lakhs. Although the patient is dead, nothing can be done to this kind of so called hospitals. The so called Admins are also on their side. This is our life saving market.
